Good Luck with Lyman. Three's years ago it took me two trys to get Lyman to make it right with two new undersized molds. Why I bought a N.O.E. 4cav mold. It was so nice I bought a N.O.E. version of the Lyman #452423, the bullets fairly Leap out...

Walks replied to a thread Lee Mould Handles in Casting Equipment
RCBS has made the same handles since they bought out Lachmiller/Ohaus. Lyman just changed over to the Saeco type. And as far as I know Lee handles fit all Lyman 2cav and RCBS. N.O.E., MP and Accurate too. So what is your question ?

I hear about .44-40 cases getting crushed all the time. The other Cowboy Shooters at My old club complained about it all the time. I consider myself Very Very Fortunate to have a set of early Lyman All-American dies from the 1960's. The sizer...

I too have a Nickel 27-2, it's a 5 inch. Bought it some 30yrs ago, a former Florida Highway Patrol Revolver. It came with a set of Pachmayr Grips though. It came with an action smooth as glass, 3lbs on single action, 11lbs on double action. I've...

My Condolences on your loss. If you have a copy of the Reloading Die set instructions, read them carefully. That may help solve your problem. They may also be found on Lee's Website. I would concentrate on seating the New bullet to the...

When I seat the last bullet in a batch, I empty the PM. Forgot to do it once on My first progressive, that TiteGroup is BAD JuJu.

I started wearing one right off. I suffer from an allergies to house dust & tree pollen. Started wearing one doing yard work when we bought our first house. Wear one when casting too.

Chamfer & deburr all cases BEFORE loading. That way there are no sharp edges to catch on Anything. Bullet depth looks good. Taper Crimp .472 is my way too. Do a "plunk test" on at least the first 5 out of each batch, I load in Batches of...

JimKirk, that's a great idea. Back when I used one, it was simply a matter of a "light touch". Got to where I could trim to a repeatable one thousands off. For the last 32+ years it's been a Lyman electric or a Forster. Old RCBS is still...

I use the old #429251, which I believe was the original bullet for the .44Spl. It's an old small block 1cav. I also have a old Lee 2cav that drops an almost identical bullet. Both work well in both .44Spl & .44Rus cases. For Cowboy Shooting I...

    These days it's 8.0grs of Unique/250 #429421 or RCBS 250KT for Me. In the past I shot 1,000's & 1,000's of a little heavier load of 9.5grs of Unique under a 250gr #429421.

I'm quite a bit like you. I tumble only the same caliber cases together. Then sort and rebox them. Decap and clean primer pockets. Check length, trim as needed. I have a powered Lyman trimmer and a Case Express behind it. So I can process a...

I bought an RCBS Mold off of fleabay a couple of years ago. First "new" RCBS Mold in twenty years. Took it apart to clean it, removed handle screws and one of those pins fell out. Lost the 1st pin, wasn't expecting it. Called RCBS, was told all...
