I use an old RCBS .45ACP set to load mine, with a Redding crimp die.

I plug my heater in until I've sized 15-20 bullet. By then the lube is flowing and will continue to flow as long as you crank & pump. It can be a real pitb to get the lube die and bullet into synch. Trial & error.

I have a brick of OLD Federal #200 that are marked on the end flap; Small Rifle & High Velocity Pistol. And I've used them for .357Mag loads with Max W296 and IMR4227.

You might want to give some consideration to the #43-206H, a SWC. It still cuts a clean hole in the paper. It was designed by Outpost75 Unless you're really wedded to the idea of a straight wadcutter.

I bought mine so long ago that I have no idea how much I paid for them, 30+yrs ago. Never tried Thermold, never even seen one. I just use the 5 rounders, never one to spray. I did ask the Magpul folks about Mini-14 mags. They do not, will not...

My Colts & Springfield are not picky. I use old Mags from Randall for most of my shooting. They even feed the stubby WC's that I cast for my Really Light target loads. As long as they are well made they work. Even Colt Factory mags from the...

You are wasting time by waiting for the 1st sprue to harden, and then cutting the sprue. Setting down the mold then is just added motion, wasted motion. Fill 1st mold, set it down. Fill 2nd mold, set it down. Pick up 1st mold, cut sprue and...

I load for .44-40 using an old Lyman die set from the 1960's. I don't think the modern made die sets size the brass down far enough. I use the #42798 bullet, the "big brother" to your #40043. The expander in my old die set is smaller then the one in...

Thank You, Love the Past Shooting Glove. Hear they are discontinued. I shot many of the 11grs - 2400 with the #358156 seated in the 2nd crimping groove in My Dad's late 1950's Colt OP. And many more of the 13.5 load in a S&W M19. Those were...

All my iron molds are in really good shape. Some are marked Ideal, so I know they are OLD. But they still work like champs. All the Ideals came from Gun Shows or My Dad, in particular the 1cav or the Ohaus 1cav. The RCBS and Lachmiller are all in...

I got a Glock 23 when they first came out in 1991-2. It still had the non-captive recoil spring. Since replaced, if only for ease of assembly/disassembly. The only ammo that was available at the time was Federal 180gr Lead. It functioned perfectly...

When I first tried PC the only ones I could find were green. After about 6-7 batches of 75-100 bullets they lost there effectiveness. Switched to black. PC'd about 5,000 bullets with the same black BB's, just add about 1/2 teaspoon every 400-500...

I did 500 .44's with HARD blue lube. Acetone for a week, just bleached out the blue. Boiled next, lube floated to the top. Skimmed it three times. I'd never do it again, too much work. I could have cast 500 bullets in the time I invested in such a...

harbor freight powder is lousy. With or w/o BB's. Smoke's Powders are GREAT. I like Ford Light Blue & J.D. Green. Also Eastwood Powders work extremely well.
