    Today I had to dispose of some old reloads of 32-20 so made another burn barrel "holy". Tumbled the brass for about 9 hours , (I forgot I was tumbling brass) , deprimed , loaded another batch and tomorrow i'll dispose of those and write this thread...

    Yup I bought 100 Bertrum( spelling ?.) for my 43 mauser and so far they have been great, of course I don't shoot it every time I go out either. That 100 will probably last me my shooting lifetime,, buy good brass and be assured you have done it...

    Thanks fella's , I think I'll follow Ken Waters path and start at 8.5 gn of 4759 ang go from there , he states this start load will give 1,254 fps and his max at 10gns will deliver a " whopping " 1,585fps. His most accurate for this propellant...

    Yes I wondered about the thinking behind the " training " rifle deal with the FR8 because when you look at the Cetme and the FR8 there really is no comparison except the caliber they were chambered for ,,, huh!. Finish that 43 project up and I bet...

    wasn't the FR7 built n the weaker 93 actions, maybe ?. Mine is marked La Coruna also, nice rifle but beware of skinning your **** knuckles when operating the bolt ,, those rear aperture sights ( which I like btw) are a bit of a curse. A solution...

    Thanks john for clearing that up on the differences between liners, the bore on my rifle is so bad I had Eric at accurate make me a .316 dia mould just to get the boolit to touch any rifling but it would be nice to have it back to " somewhat"...

    I've used jb weld to do that it works great , for a rn or something else you can fill the stem and let it set up a while then seat a boolit normally but leave the stem in contact with the lead until the jb sets up. Clean the stem up and your left...

    All my 30cal rifles have had plenty of soupcans pushed down their bores , when hunting season comes around they get the more appropriate weight boolit for the job in hand, plinkers the rest of the time.
