I have heard awesome things about the Lee cast iron press. The Challenger is correct 1hole. I am not a fan of that toggle lock. At my last garage sale I sold one I had laying around for $10 and wished the guy luck. The lube I am guessing was the...

Hi 1hole- thank you for the question, I didn't clarify. I want to think it was an anniversary set of some kind. Was able to find it on the local classified ads for cheap. Aluminum, not cast. And why it wouldn't fls, I am not sure to this day. LC 16?...

Lots of good posts here- Lee has it's place. It is THE choice if you are wanting to get started reloading, but don't have a great deal of money around. I love the fcd and have started using it on a "few" of the calibers. No more boogered shoulders...

Bob- I scrubbed her like we all had to when we came home with dirt under our fingernails. No rifling left on the old girl. Ran the new hawkeye down the bore as well, can see some rifling at the very beginning. To my knowledge it has only shot...

Zingger replied to a thread 30-30 model 94 question in Leverguns
Crazy thought- hear me out. What is the powder you are using? Fast vs slow and the amount of complete burn before it leaves the barrel. The pressure seems to screw with the harmonics of the barrel (whip). I have a trapper 94 and have experienced...

The odd one out for me right now is the 308 MX. Am trying to find it's finer points and having a difficulty. Beautiful rifle, a bit more than my 30-30 and less than the '06. Was an impulse trade/buy for a ppk/s I had and didn't shoot. Anyone shoot...

Thanks to a fellow CB member, I will be purchasing some 25-20 brass and it shall continue to be a 25-20. Because so many of you have shared your very valuable input, I will be bringing you all along on the ride as I work up loads and take her out to...

edp2k- I didn't know that JES went into the 30 cals. DrD- I wasn't too sure of the bore, had a lot of dust in it when I bought it. For the cost of the rifle, it would have been very foolish to turn it down, even figuring in the cost of a re-line it...

Thank you one and all for the thoughts and encouragement! So far the direction I am seeing is "leave it alone for time being, it is only original once!" I currently have no reloading materials for the 25-20, and bore goes to .259 at the muzzle. I...

I had a 94AE in .44 mag- when feeding factory rounds it would feed fine. When feeding the 429421 it would double/triple feed and lock the rifle up. Out came the tig torch and build up and cut back to put the appropriate amount of "tit" back on. Lots...

To clarify- the bullets shot were factory jacketed ammo. I have yet to open the box I got with the rifle, have a friend who has some, and a partial box. I will keep the option open corbinace, you have access to Redman, who is the renowned gunsmith ...

To start this out- I have a 32-20 Marlin 1894cl. Love it, shoot it as often as I can. The dilemma- yesterday I found an original, non-messed with Winchester 1892 in 25-20(circa 1911). Beautiful patina, wood looks great, cycles like a dream! Hadn't...

From pick up tubes to that obscure part, RCBS has always been there for me. Free of charge and very quick. I emulate the others when I say their customer service IS second to none in the industry.

OldRed hit it on the head with the CYA, there are a great deal of variables in the safe to shoot equation. I have used Trailboss for my light loads and was happy with it, a puff and out the barrel. Like a giant pop-gun. Unique is also a great...
