    I have a place 5 hours away in the Adirondack mountains. Itís 15 miles from the nearest cell signal. Itís been in the family since WWI Not once have I ever considered leaving a firearm there. Ymmv

    that wood is beautiful. I always liked the svelte lines of the featherweight. I bought mine in Barstow CA in 1988. It's been my go to rifle since then, still equipped with a glossy 4X leupold.

    I may have missed the answer but you stated you cleaned all the lube out of you sizer die is the die smooth or maybe since its been sitting awhile has gotten a little rust ? Nice smooth surface makes a difference just thinking out loud.

    My way to look at is do I have primers bullets and powder. 100lbs of powder and 1000 primers the math making rounds won't match. My handicap right now is primers I run out well before i run out of bullets or powder.

    As far as sizing down to 308 I will use my mini chop saw I got to make 300 BO brass from 223 and shorten the OAL then neck size to 308 very little trimming needed after that. As far as finding bulk 308 I have been unable to do so I do have 308...

    My experience with brass moulds is cast fast and keep it as hot as possible. I have the Mihec 432640 cramer mould and I had the devil of the time with the HP pins until it was really hot. My 180 .30 hunter is exactly the same.
