The only problem I have with the 9mm is.. that a lot of the guns are all over the map for chambers and barrel dia. and throats. most factory rounds will work in almost any of em but some of the new 'defense' rounds are a bit quirky.. for...

I had no 32-20 brass so the stuff I bought was indeed starline. This is not a gun that will get shot a lot I am thinking it is heavy and long barreled but fun to shoot but not the most interesting in the safe. A couple hundred cases is probly...

With the stock semi buckhorn style sight I simply could not get consistent accuracy at 50 yards... I know it is my eyes but my much younger friends had trouble too... i think it depends on lighting and glare. With the skinner all that is...

Thanks Harry... I think I tried everything. I used a Lee trim die which trims way down to minimum. Like you I thought 30 carbine brass is tough and cheap... . no matter what I do the carbine brass ties up the gun. I used digital calipers and...

I can live with .4315ish especially if they are all the same. I coat my bullets and size to .431 that extra half to one thou is not a big deal. I had one Redhawk that ran .433 and maybe a tad more in a couple cylinders.. could not get...

I admit that I have an extreme weakness for the 44 special caliber. I also am a fan of 5" barrels.. I am also not a fan of the bigger and heavier Rugers or.. of their sometimes...uh... 'cavalier' machining of throats on their revolvers...

just found this thread and it is timely. I have an old Blackhawk 30 carbine. It hates 30 carbine rounds.. they will tie it up. that is the bad news.. the good news is that because it has the extra space the old ones had between cylinder and...

The only thing stopping me is I have heard the throats need work. pay that much it should be right. I am also a way bigger fan of the 44 spl than the 45Colt. If that was in 44 spl it would end up in my safe and on my hip.. The two things...

I think the trinty trinty is a great round. energy wise it is superior (slightly) to a 44 mag and has a LOT less drop at 200 yards. the new polymer tip 44 bullets get em close again tho. But.... and it is a big but... the 44 mag punches...
