Though not a pistol boolit. My personal favorite is the Lyman 311410 130gr. PB. It has a fairly long baring surface for a light for caliber boolit. It works very well in all .308 caliber cartridges using fast or slow burning powders. 1 in the...

I shoot a lot, I should say a whole lot of 38's and 44's but my vote has to go with the 30 caliber. My favorites are the 30-30 and the 06, I personally feel that these two are the most versatile of all cartrIdges. The 06 probably has more cast...

That being the case the sabot would have to shatter like the modern day plastic sabot to work like a shot gun.

I under stand. I figured it something like that even though your post said new 7 TCU brass. I also had a 10" 7 TCU barrel. I really liked it but got the bug for a 7.62X39 and traded it for a 14" Contender in that caliber. That was a mistake. The...

I had the bug once also. I at one time I had 8 barrels and 3 actions first second and third generation in my safe. Over the years starting in 1971 I have owned at least 20 different calibers. I have finally came to my censes. I have trimed my...

Mr Sheesh Just a question, why would you need to fire form new 7 TCU brass it is already chamber formed. If the new case goes in the chamber, prime it and load it and shoot it. I have never heard of fire forming new brass, just my 2 cents for what...

Your loaded rounds appear to be solid wood slugs rather than wood shot cups. They are interesting though.

I was just looking on the net also, prices were running in the $10.00 range for 50 rounds as you said and a lot of it was much higher like $20.00 to $30.00 for 50 rounds. One thing about it is that it's not 10 years ago.., and things do go up in...

It probably would not cost a lot to do it but there are no worries to leave it as is and I'm sure you guys are right. Thanks.

I just wonder if it would be safe to rechamber it to 22 mag. The measurements are the same for both except for the case length, I could still shoot WRF's in it.

It has been been fun to shoot. I've had it for about 20 years. I had a little problem getting ammo for it at first but I finally found them in the Midway catalog on special for $3.95 a box of 50 Winchester. I bought 12 boxes. That was 10 years ago....

This target group was shot with a single shot J Stevens rifle (picture inserted). The rifle is probably 80 or so years old. I forgot to mention it is a 22 WRF. I Sent from my SM-S765C using Tapatalk

So far it has worked just fine as a two stage press using the front die holes and I have already fixed it to take standard dies up front screwed in from the top. As noted I have loaded quite a few 30-30's and 38-55s.

I do have all the parts for it. I have all the shell holders with gates for the different caliber dies that came with it and I have the primer feed system, the thing is, it's easier to use the Lee primer shown in one of the pictures. The primer feed...

I don't use the original dies at all. Just put them in to show what it looked like with them. I have loaded around 500 30-30's and a number of 38-55's using full length standard dies with no problems. I lube my shells using a spray lube the same as...

I got this press in a trade, I have all the parts for it. I tried to use it as a progressive press but it was impossible to use it that way. I ended up making a two stage press out of it and it works great. This press was designed to use 310 dies...
