GEOMETRIC replied to a thread Trouble With Gun Broker in Our Town
I stopped dealing with GB about 2 years ago & will never deal with them again. I don't have time for their games like listing a starting bid far below the seller's bottom line. I guess that is legal but I legally don't have to deal with them. I have...

This is pretty basic & you have likely already been there & done this but it bears repeating. When I have ignition failures, it is almost always due to contamination in the breach plug/drum area. It has to be completely free of oil & cleaning...

Yes, possible combinations seem to increase exponentially. I have 5, 10ga., SXS shotguns for which I load 4 different non toxic shot types in various amounts. I also load lead for them in weights from 1 1/8 to 2 oz.. I don't shoot steel at all. I...

Thanks guys, I guess I will go with a rimmed cartridge in the vane of "keep it simple stupid". I like the 9.3x74 but would probably be better of with a .308 or .310 cal.

Yea, a shotgun with birdshot is far from ideal coyote medicine but when one comes darting past you unexpectedly, you gotta shoot what you have in your hands or don't shoot. I don't care how long it takes for it to die as long as it can't kill any...

MT Gianni, I agree 100%. Any chance of stopping a Yodel dog from killing another fawn is a chance worth taking. I once had a 788 Remington with which I could shoot 1", 100yd. groups with iron sights. If you had asked me if I could shoot a 1"...

The .45-70 can be loaded to about 200 fps. of a .458 Win. in the Ruger No. 1. I had one that accounted for a number of Bucks & some really big wild hogs at ranges of up to & a little over 100 yds. Recoil got a bit much for me when velocity of a 400+...

If you don't mind dealing with a wildcat, there are a number of possibilities. The basic .45-70 comes in various lengths from .45-70 up to .45-120 & can be necked down. Then there is the .405 Win. that can be loaded with a 400 grain bullet if used...

The best solution with your stack barrel is put two triggers on it. Personally, I wouldn't own a double gun that didn't have two triggers. From my view point, a single trigger of any variety has nothing to offer on a double gun.
