Humm... Don't bother to waste a lot of time thinking about it. Cast bullets should be heavy for elk, but,, a cast bullet in 30-06, no matter the weight, does a dis-service to the elk. Yes, you can drop an elk with 3006/cast bullet, but...

Sir, I would add something: The .455 was loaded with several different bullets over the course of it's history... As I recall; one load used an inverted hollow base wad cutter, designed and first used against unruly Africans on the "dark...

Humm... . The .455 Webley: I street walking in Portsmouth England, about 15 years ago, I came across a little gun shop, so I stepped through the door. Behind a glass, was a pile of revolvers... (???? !) I asked to look at the best...

Some days ago on this forum, I proposed a new cartridge, for the AR platform. This new cartridge, would be the standard .223 case, necked up to 30 caliber; and it would launch a 125 grain cast bullet to around 2500 fps. . . Humm... it rather...

Baby Bell cheese wrappers for bullet lube, now I have heard everything...... . . If you want good bullet lube, just buy it; get lee lube in the hollow stick. Or, if you want a harder lube, go for LBT blue. . .

I have no experience with the 35 Rem....., but, I have read a good deal about cast bullets, and hunting deer in that caliber. . From the pictures and articles I've read, you are on the right track with that bullet. I would cast from air cooled...
