    Mines a bit opposite,they hold the club shoots on a Sunday,when the range is packed anyway,more for the club means parking a 1/2 mile away............I realize you gotta be retired or unemployed to shoot weekdays,but I dont like waiting round all...

    Mine is deeper cause I took off the barrel and took a bit out...........I also slightly counterbored the muzzle,which previously seemed to be done with a drillbit held cockeyed...........anyway ,its a $30 gun which couldnt hit anything,now shoots OK...

    probably just cut the rim recess deeper.........this can be remedied if you must use costly 310 brass,just put a couple of spots of solder in the rim recess,even super glue works for a long while....I have always used 32/20 brass at around $30 a...

    Make your own barrel band from two different dia tubing,weld together,grind to profile...or if its OK ,just have a flat section band........you can also work up a band from a single piece of tube,but its more of a job for an experienced metal...

    Its worse than that.....recycled paper tends to be yellowish,so both fine grain silica flour and titanium dioxide are added as whiteners.......When I want to polish an old BP barrel ,I use PP made from $4 a pack computer printer paper.Shines em up...

    seeing as 1 in 22 will stabilize a 500gr 45 at 1400 f/sec,I am sure a 1 in 16 will stabilize a 290 at the same velocity.........There is an optimum twist rate for every bullet /velocity/caliber........other rates provide less than optimum...
