When I get sticky extraction with a Ross, first thing is to dismantle the bolt and grease the splines with moly grease......A Ross can jam empty if the bolt is dry inside.....Cure is run oil down the firing pin.

One thing Ive noticed (actually had pointed out) is that with light loads the Ross bolt comes partly open ,then closes again.I suspect this is because the lugs are cut with a considerable screw pitch.......if you own a Ross ,and look at a Swiss,you...

Not criticising, but I would not put HCl anywhere near a 400 grade stainless.....in fact the chloride ion will attack the chromium in steel very freely, these steels are resistant to oxidation ,not chloride attack.......The method of cleaning up...

Id just shake it up,it will stay mixed...such a small quantity of a similar burning rate will make no difference......One of the shotgun powders I use has at least three distinct shapes and colours of granules, obviously blended from different feeds...

Was done about 15 years ago on Mythbusters...who found it was near impossible to blow a modern shotgun barrel, and they even had trouble doing any damage to an old Remington damascus barrel.......hard to top their cannonball trick, tho.

Yes ,as a general rule ,never fully resize cases ,you just shorten case life.....adjust dies a couple of threads loose....In fact ,a peculiar problem of using light loads is that cases are blown forward ,and shoulders shortened by the primer...

The whole bore looks pretty rough to me ....lots of radial cuts from drlling ,most likely, and no finish reaming.....the burr may be a hard spot in the steel....I assume its a previously owned gun, still a pretty poor show.

As mentioned by Ateam, stainless pickling gel will remove any rust stain ,but be careful with it .We used it to remove accidental angle grinder stains from stainless work.Think its mainly nitric acid, with a bit of hydroflouric.

The Lee 475 /400gn mould works good in Mk IV ,I would like it better if it were a bit more aerodynamic....Never the less ,I can get just about 100% hits on a silhouette at 300 metres with the sights set on 500 yds.
