    With a coil element ,a heavy bottom pot is best......I made mine from pipe with a 1/2 thick steel base that covers the hotplate........and use a coffee tin over the outside to keep cold wind off......Dunno how many have warned me about using light...

    There is a little catch with drills.......they have a locking screw ,so the drill can drive in reverse,......but if you use double ended panel drill bits,the hard bits slip in the chuck,and drill the head of the locking screw away........chuck comes...

    you can reduce the drag of any grooved bullet by eliminating the grooves........about a 10% reduction at subsonic velocities.....so a smooth side paper patched bullet is indicated at 1 mile.......even then ,its gonna be down to walking speed.

    Working reliably with hard pointed full jackets is no problem......if you smash and bash the 299 bullet,the points bend,or the bullets get gouged......not ideal for any kind of accuracy..............i still think there would be a market for a hard...
