I used Palmetto State Armory kits, uppers etc before and they all work fine for a cheap build but dont try to swap a barrel or take upper apart. They are near impossible to unscrew the barrel nut on those and I've read cases of people cracking their...

I never tried TG in 300AAC but I did load some up with full case of Trail Boss before (I think around 7gr but dont quote me as I dont have my notes with me). Turned my AR into bolt action but these were some super quiet 300AAC rounds. So far I shot...

As many others already answered the only difference between (at least CCI) SPM and SR is the thickness of the cup. Since I couldnt find SPM around me I started using SR as replacement for 357 Magnum and I never looked back. My Ruger GP100 MC has no...

I used Bullseye Metals on ebay and it seems to be AR500 as advertised and at a good price. So far I shot their plates with everything up to 308 without any issues. Couple dimples from 5.56 but i have a feeling those were due to my lovely friends...

I came to the same conclusion. I even bough Lee 55gr mold but at the end decided its not worth the trouble and I use FMJs in my 1x7 5.56. My guess is that you would want something closer to 1x9 for cast and use hard alloy possibly water quenched to...

Its not hard I've done it to multiple sizing dies. I use fiber glass rod cut from one of those reflective flags you see around but any small dowel will work. I prefer fine grit paper as in 800 or 1000 wrapped around your dowel chucked in cordless...

I own Lyman WC and SWC molds (cant remember exact numbers) but I think that Lee 358-158-RF is little bit more accurate so I've been using those lately. These also make great sub 9mm rounds provided you have a handgun that will chamber .357 rounds....

I got lucky one day and found 3 pigs for $0.85/lb so i bought all 3 from my local scrap yard. I got some other good quality soft lead and tin from them too but I need more so I'll have to go see what they got in the bin. Winter reload used up over...

I own Taurus PT111 G2 Pro and its ok but you get what you pay for. I think for the price its an ok buy but its not on the same level as the rest of the major manufacturers. It does go bang every time and its accurate but trigger break is so far...
