Thats another thing I wanted to check again because a while back I loaded some Lee 358-158-RF over 3gr of HP38 and I didnt shoot too many of these but I think they better then 125-2R and def better then 120-TC (drops at .355 so i need to fix this...

This is a great video because I was just wondering about COL and how it affects accuracy. Probably more important in rifles but I would imagine it would affect handguns as well. As a matter of fact I have some more 9mm load development to do and COL...

In general I agree with you that rested would have been better. Next time I'm going to try to get to the range early or really late and hopefully i can play on a bench where I can shoot rested but even standing unsupported I could see the difference...

I was just using that as comparison. Its not something that i need to do since most of the time we shoot local steel plate competitions at 10 - 15 yards so its more speed then accuracy. I just think that my guns should be able to do that if I take...

Thank you for all the responses. Looking at everyone's impressive targets now I see that its not the caliber but my rounds that still need work so back to the drawing table. Reading everyone's posts made me reconsider few obvious things i missed and...

I started casting and reloading in 9mm and i went through bunch of powders, projectiles, different COL, crimps etc but i dont think I will ever get it to be as accurate as other calibers. Yesterday i tried new load with 3.8-4.2gr of Vectan GM3 under...

I vote for one of each 5.56 & 300AAC. I shoot FMJs out of 5.56 and cast out of my 300AAC. I think both calibers work better that way. Little 55gr .223 works better with FMJs at those speeds but for 50 or 100 yard plinking I prefer 300 blackout....

I keep looking at those every now and then. Maybe one day I'll get one but it would probably be in 10mm though.

I could never find any surplus powders but I recently purchased 2 different Vectan powders GM3 and A0 on sale for $14.50 /0.5kg (about 1.1lb). Ends up around $13/lb and you dont have to buy in large quantities. I got couple to try with free hazmat...

I didnt like results from baking bunch of them all over the place. I still stand my bullets up on non stick foil. Yes its a pain and yes it takes a long time but thats the only way I found to make quality PCed bullets. I found a way to do it in...

Is that really the case or is that just media blowing smoke against CCW again? I cant say that I remember one story where CCW caused issues or got in a way. I'm sure there are cases of stupidity as in everything else but for most part I think CCW...

Lee 401-175-TC is a great mold that many people use and its available from many online stores. I dont have one to offer but you might be better off just ordering a new one. Lee molds arent that expensive.

I just started loading the same Lee 401-175-TC in 40SW and I ended up using 6gr of WSF. Hodgdon website has that listed as 1020ft/s - 33,500PSI. I use that in my RIA 10mm 1911 and it works great for plinking around when I dont want to burn up my...

Thats good to know. Having the same name GM3 for a powder made in two different plants is just asking for trouble. I'm assuming this is why I'm seeing mismatched reports on this powder. Some claim that its about the same burn speed as HP38/W231 but...

I water drop everything after PC. It does make bullet harder so you dont want to let it sit around so make sure you size as soon as you can. Its not a surface hardening like you would with steel knifes and such. It affects the whole bullet but i...
