Remington still uses a 12T in their 223's..... if that's important to you? Most everyone else has climbed on the "heavier must be better" bus and gone with faster twist barrels. I have an older CZ 527 with a slow twist, and will never part with it....

Long action,30-06.... short,308. Because, you are probably less than an hour from some of the best Black Bear hunting in the east. The 308 has "maybe" a tiny bit more target application. The 7-08 is just an easy to shoot and tune,CB or JB that they...

Bought a '16 R700,stainless SPS 7-08 new. Never seen a factory round or a JB. Wears a minty B$L 3-9X40. Shoots a nose bumped,as cast body,GC sized Lee 285-130RN. In the nose bump,a meplat gets swaged. Lube is 3/1,BW/vaseline. Ernie gunsmith...

Nice write up. Yeah, sawzalls are nice.I have a 30 year old Milwaukee. But,keep an eye out for an old Disston "meat" saw... looks like a big honkin hack saw. I found one years ago,its our go to bone saw.
