my most accurate AR is a 1 in 7 twist. it shoots 60 vaxs a tad better then 55s but im talke tenths of an inch and both do close to 3/4s of an inch at a 100 yards so it doesn't even matter. Cool thing too is at a 100 yards both bullets shoot to the...

yup. twice the gun at 1/2 the cost. Ill add the K frames to that. A 19 is just as strong as a python, most ive shot are more accurate and reliable and actually easier to shoot DA. Lots of money for a fancy bluing job.

if its yellowed it probably lost it gas seal. Yup you can repair it. Spend a 150 bucks and end up with a scope that doesn't even come close to comparing to optically then what you can buy today brand new for a 150 bucks with a warrantee. had a buddy...

im not a big python fan. Ive owned a couple and never saw what the fuss is all about. that said I wouldn't pay twice what you did but at 800 bucks I would have bought it just for future trade material.

Like was said ive never seen even a 1 in 7 twist destroy a bullet. Maybe in a 22250 or 220 swift but 223 is mild compared to them. Ive got 1-9 1-8 and 1-9 ar15s if I could have only one it would be a 1-8 twist.

ill be the naysayer here. One crop damage season my buddy and I used tipped x bullets exclusively in our 2506 and 257 wbys. We spent more time tracking deer that year then probably all the other 10 years weve been doing this combined. Just about...

If your new to it one bit of advice is don't overcook it. Some say 180 some say 160. In fact at 145 your meat is safe. I go to 150 to take into account variations in meat thermometers and most times use two to verify it. I got distracted this year...

yup its illegal to take them even after an election in most states if you don't have permission. I don't know if they would actually prosecute you for doing it but it is the law.

Yup to me a good ar trigger is about a 5lb trigger that breaks clean. If you have a dedicated long range gun or varmint gun a bit less is better but for a self defense gun or one that does double duty I don't want much less then 5lbs. Bottom line is...

love my summer sausage but its a lot of work and isn't cheap to make and I need to do burger to offset the cost of fuel running back and forth to the farm. I figure each trip costs us 20 bucks in gas and we split all the deer so if we each get 5lbs...

Ive shot ALOT of deer and in my experience a heart shot deer can run just as far as a lung shot deer. Ive seen deer run over a 100 yards with there heart turned to jello by a 257 weatherby. Also found that even though I don't eat guts that hearts...

one hint for those who don't is to not cut up your steaks when you butcher. Vaccum pack and freeze your meat in blocks and cut it or butterfly it when you thaw it to cook. Much less chance of freezer burn. Also don't pack your burger in baggies. Use...

I kind of chuckle at it too. Ive had many around here claim an o6 is just to powerful and kicks to much but they spend most of the fall hauling around there 12 gauge pump.

one of the lower parts kits I bought from them had the enhanced trigger group. Was actually pretty impressive for what it cost. Trigger was as good or better then many of the newer bolt guns ive bought.
