Usually one rotation of the inside and outside debur tool is enough to debur a case. More than that will thin the brass... I resize/debur 44 mag but no other pistol brass...

Oh - I also got a REALLY cool mold for my 45-70 (and if I sneak it into the budget 458 socom): It is a NOE SC460-350-RF-AE1 RG4 cavity GC Brass mold... These are the cup points. I find the cup points easy to cast, the HP points hard to cast...

I cast and then try to PC / Size as soon as I can. Then I wait for a couple weeks. But generally, it is no problem to wait because I cast when I start running low and I'll cast a BUNCH of them. I did have a batch of boolits I cast / PC'd and then...

Crimp a little less and make sure to chamfer the inside/outside of the case... One thing - those little 'hairs' if still attached can cut right through you skin and you'll bleed like a stuck pig... I had one do that many years ago when first...

Man fun couple days! Didn't do too well in the match, but had a lot of fun... After the steel match, my buddy wanted to sight in his new rifle and so we went to the rifle range. I took my Henry and shot up some of those full house 44 mags and...

This evening a co-worker wanted me to take him to the range. Well of course! Let's go sling some lead down the range! My co-worker is from China, they cannot own guns and there are no shooting ranges. So, I took the .22 rifle my Glock 35 and my...

Made 100 44 magnum boomers today. I REALLY love shooting full house 44 mag. I did the math today and it turns out I pay about 18 cents per round to shoot my W296 loads. It also turns out that my Unique load is about 9 cents per round...

Loaded 100 44 Mag Unique loads (mid range, around 1100 fps). Been a while since I loaded 44 mag - I missed it... Tomorrow I need to load 100 44 Mag W296 loads (max range, around 1450 fps)... Been a while since I loaded/shot those too...

I have a binder with little tabs for each caliber. Put the info I put in is my testing and my "final" load for a particular projectile / powder. I do this for each combo but that means I end up with a couple pages/caliber and I just reference it...

...PC melts with heat... Take a PC'd boolit and drop it in a 700 degree pot... You will find that the PC is around longer than the boolit.

I've had great luck with the Accurate 31-085BG mold. It is a TC shape so it does not have problems chambering. I also had him make it without a lube grove and I PC them. I also size to .309. But when loading these, I do a plunk test for each...

I've got a CZ52 that had the firing pin worn and also the sear the blocks the hammer worn. If you had a round in the chamber and decocked the gun it would fire about 20% of the time. We tested it... I eventually replaced both the firing pin and...

I like the 45-70 with varget. I push a 405 grain boolit around 1800 fps with it and get excellent accuracy. I've compared faster burning powders at similar speed/pressure and I find faster powders like 4198 tend to have a kind of jarring recoil...
