I'm shooting an accurate mold 40-180H with no lube groves. It ends up being 188 grain with my alloy. I'm shooting them with basically a full case of AA #9 and getting 1275 or so FPS. That'll stop a lot of things that walk this planet... It...

Finally feel good enough to make it to the garage. Loaded 150 40s and resized about 800 40 cal boolits... I feel like I need to cast more 400 grain 45s... But that sure makes lead/powder go fast...

I use the lee sizers with the cutting tool attached to a small hand held screwdriver. Works pretty fast. I found that you can generally hear a PING when you have a crimped primer pocket - so that's my indication to seperate that case for reaming.

I really like this one: https://noebulletmolds.com/site/product-category/401/htc402-188-wfn-bv1 I cast them as cup points and they come out right around 180 grain and look like this:

I have one Lyman mold it is the 429640. It's the 250 grain 44 cal devatator. It takes a long time to make a pile of boolits because it only drops one at a time... But they do turn out nice:

    23# seems like a lot, but it's probably around 12-1500... 1500 45's is gonna be like 50#

I live in a townhouse in So Cal. I cast on one of my balconies and there is no problem. There is an 8' wall between my blacony and my neighbors and if they are there on their balcony, I just keep everything quiet and don't flux as much.

I have a newish Marlin 1895 and I love it. It has never had a copper jacketed round through it. I had a nice load with Trailboss that made that gun shoot with a recoil similar to a .22. I like shooting varget in it, though. You have to go...

I use 23.5 grn W296 on an Accurate 43-240 AG gas checked boolit. This is pretty much a full case, is not sooty and it is also a very accurate load. These also go about 1450 fps in a 7.5" barrel. I powder coat and have shot tens of thousands of...
