psychbiker, Congratulations on the upcoming arrival! That little one will rock your world, so getting as much casting done as you can now is a good idea. Very best wishes to your family and hopes that all turns out well. Ed

Thanks for letting me know! I’ll get it fixed. I really didn’t intend for them to be used for bullets as the soda bottle neck is too narrow, as you found out. Ed

Hi all! I'm still enjoying my new APP, and come to find out I really like the Lee Lock-Ring Eliminator bushings. The only problem is that they don't fit well in the Inline Fabrication Hornaday LNL bushing tray. I asked Dan if he were planning to...

Hi psychbiker. I think you kind of answered your question in the last sentence, "When not using for lead I can use this for a powder coat toaster oven I think too." You said it's fun to build and you'll get double duty from it (maybe even more,) so...

Hi all! May I recommend you consider Shooter's World "Buffalo Rifle" (Lovex D060.) It used to be sold as 5744 before Accurate changed sources. I use it 1:1 and have the same excellent results, and the cost is significantly less than 5744. Ed

Hi, Yep, there's a difference. Have a look here at Sage's Outdoors (where I normally buy mine.) The GC shank for both sizes is normally about 0.424-0.427", but I believe the difference is in the thickness of the check material. I have the Gator GC...

Hi Norske, Yes, Shooter's World is Lovex powder. Also, their Buffalo Rifle (Lovex D060) used to be sold as Accurate 5744 until they changed sources. I've been using Buffalo Rifle, Long Rifle, and Clean Shot and I'm very happy with their performance...

Hi jwlegal, I can understand your modifying an older promise about casting/reloading small bullets, but "desperate times...." One thing I might recommend is to use a Lee push through sizer for your little bullets. I cast a .264 "Cruise Missile"...

Hi 2011redrider, Thanks. I was going by the questions/answers on Amazon and didn't really think to check the Bear Mountain web site. Now that I've checked, it appears to be a blend. I guess I'll be switching to Lumberjack pellets. It says right on...

Gentlemen, Good questions. I've got the Rectec RT340, which is the smaller of their pellet grills since there's only me at home now. I found that I go through about a pound of pellets an hour on a normal smoke. It has a 20lb hopper, so that means...
