    Unless you have a significant supply, I wouldn’t bother. PB was my go to for a long time (12G, 38spl, 9mm, and 45acp). I finally had to move on because it has been discontinued. Edit-4# should be enough for a bit. Missed your post

    It keeps the fixed size ring higher on the case where it is smaller. Even if the ring is straight walled the geometry applies. Think of it as additional tolerance higher on the case. YMMV- it works for me.
