Here is a pic of my process for reducing 223rem down to 30 cal. The process is the same with the 9mm case. The process is a little slow and labor intensive but the results are perfect and repeatable. I don't do more then about .025 in reduction at a...

BT Sniper replied to a thread lubing cases in Swaging
If one uses lanolin for deriming it is best to be sure it is all removed from the brass before tumbling in media. I used to use mineral spirits but no longer enjoy the smell. I have heard others here report that woolite fabric cleaner works well to...

BT Sniper replied to a thread lubing cases in Swaging
Before I had a tumbler I would coat the inside of a Ziploc bag with lube then add clean brass and kneed with hands to distribute lube. This worked well too. Not really any wrong way to apply lube, just make sure you use enough and that it is all...

Annealing after deriming. Use whatever lube you wish for deriming. Only use quality swage lube for core seat and point form swaging. I now like to use RCBS case lube II for deriming only because it is so easy to rinse clean with only water....

What caliber? I haven't found VLD dies to be any more trouble then any other point form die in my experience. Actually found a longer nose with less barring surface to the bullet should eject easier, but........ could be other reasons or issues...

a few picks of the bullets would help. But it sounds like you may have something in the alloy that is causing this condition. I would recommend the same as brewer have bne test it for you.
