"Peace like a river" I have been blessed and blessed again. The best part is it will tell you when you make mistakes. I know prayer works, I have seen it work for me, others in my family, and many here. You will be in mine.

If i neck up, i don't worry about them. Just load em and shoot em. If i neck down, which is what i often end up doing, I turn the case necks. That brass has to flow some where.

Well I hear you on diminishing ability, age plays a factor, as do health issues. To be honest I shot my 1911 for the first time in 2 years last weekend. Had the neighbor boys to the range, Jean being a 14 yr Ranger with multiple tours in the...

I started switching irons to Red Dot sights some 3 years ago. To be honest all of mine have been in the 60-65$ range. Truglo has worked the best for me. Some of those are non optic, some are 2x magnification. Which I find works really good for...

I make a dumby round. Once you hash out all the details for COL. Make a dumby round with that bullet and heavily crimp it. Then when you switch bullets just snug everything on the dumby round and your good to seat all the rest of the bullets. No...

Another vote for the Lee die with NOE expanders. Cheaper and collecting them can be a new hobby. By the Lyman M die and you have to buy bunch. Go with NOE and its inexpensive to add new cartridges. I like reasonably priced simple and effective tools.

I agree with posts # 2, 4, 5. They are my first choice all options being equal. I have yet to have a problem with them. I bought a fair amount back when they were 3.00$ per hundred. Feeling pretty good about that now. Have also used...

I doubt my answer is definative. I have a Springfield Armory 1911, made mid 90's. No full length guide rod. Gun will shoot better than I can hold. Period. Lock it into a vice or a real good rest, fire 5 at whatever distance you like. Then...

^ Yep. I have enough rice, beans, pasta, sugar, salt, flour and canned goods to keep me and my wife for a year. If we had 2 weeks to pull the freezer down, can meat, vegi's probably longer. If we lose power and it does not come back on,...

Took my neighbor to the range 2 weeks ago, let him run 50 rounds of 9mm through the Hipoint 9mm Carbine. Ohhhhh he loved that even more than the .45acp. Till I reminded him he shot the .45acp at 25 yards, and he shot the 9mm at 20 feet. LOL...

Over 1400 fps I always use a gas check. That being said I suspect a round at 1200 fps that hits the right spot is just as lethal as one moving some 4-500 fps faster.
