Shoes on the other foot Hunter. I owed you sir, was hoping to lend you a hand. I also posted a link over on the graybeardoutdoors site hoping you'd get some action. One very very happy customer here. On a side note, she has 70 rounds...

I'm with Dragon. BLL just plain works, and done right has a hard finish. When my JOS is gone then we'll see about experimenting with paste wax and mineral spirits. But that could be decades from now. Little goes a long long way.

I am sitting on 150 lbs of COWW in ingots, probably about the same in Range scrap. I have mostly been running a roughly 50/50 blend with 1% tin added. I have a couple of sources for tin, some 60% lead/40% tin I found here at a resonable price,...

I'm going to be honest here. For 60 years I never really "got" the whole lever gun .30-30 thing. Then as I settled into retirement I happened to run across a pair of Win 94's. One made back in 44, one AE with crossbolt safety. Well I ended up with...

I was working for a neighbor who lived some 2 miles away (I was in my 20's) when I noticed a big flock of some kind of birds wheeling and dipping around a haystack. Well after the critters was all fed I grabbed my trusty Mossberg .410 shotgun...

Looked at those Hawkes..... I could get 3 Nikons for that price. For 800 bucks it better take over my body, perfectly shoot for me than guide that bullet to target with angelic hands. I will stick to my Nikon Pro Staffs. Can normally find them...

Just wanted to share my results and appreciation for this site, its members and wealth of information. I started reloading four years ago and casting about 2 years ago. Jacketed bullets were easy and took no time at all to follow a recipe and tune....

Wet patching and twisting the tail is so much more easier. The base becomes perfectly flat when sized. Sizing with lee resizing lube makes the jackets nice and tough. I am also patching little .270 bullets and maybe soon 6.5 mm bullets.

Welcome. Everyone has covered the basics. Though I will add once you get it dropping good bullets be careful how you lube the molds. Nothing worse than spending 30 minutes cleaning and burning it out, then lube the guide pins and accidently get some...

Went cold turkey on tobacco 4 years ago and never looked back. Don't miss it. But I use a Evod E-cig to vape nicotine. Not much, after 4 years I am dialed down fairly low. Probably the nicotine equivilent of a total of 3 or 4 cigs a day. I...
