I suspect it is all in the sausage. Salt and pepper also help, pepper in particular. My wife and I have been discovering that Cavendish greek seasoning adds a nice bit of flavor to foods that have grown tasteless with age. Might try it.

I mostly use aluminum molds. You are right that they aren't the most temp stable. I dip the corner of the mold in the melt for 20 seconds to warm it. Then I have a wet sponge that I tap the mold to every 2 or 3 cast. I watch how long it takes the...

I pan lubed for over a year. Using a cake cutter makes it about doable with any lube. Up grading to a lubsizer was awesome. With base line of 80ish bucks you can find a deal on here and Ebay. Just be careful of price gauging on Ebay. You will find...

The trick I learned on my pair of Mosin's and the SKS, for cosmoline, goo gone and lots of paper towels. Just keep going over it. Once the outside is bare and dry start stripping it down. Work each piece as it comes off. When I was all done...

Good for the two of you. I got off to a late start, was 44 when I found mine, 21.5 years later it keeps getting better. Takes teamwork, and no quitting. If you are going to do it you have to truly commit to it 150%. I think that very few...

I have a fancy Browing Neoprene sling on my win 94 dirty thirty. (Pawn shop find) Camo, has six pockets that hold .30-30 rounds nice and snug, and does not slip off my shoulder. Also does not dig in, bind, or cause pain in my shoulder at all. ...

Well after reading everything Larry had written on the subject. I decided the easy answer was to stock Red Dot in quantity, and not bother with fillers. That being said I did shoot some 20 rounds with dacron, as larry suggested in my Mosin. Got...

I have used dacron in my .270 Winchester with 4198. I used about grain and made it fluffy with bullet pushing it down. Like others i have read the possible dangers. While it did tighten my groups noticable and made them more consistent. I am more of...
