My wife and I watched that. I have no disagreement with the man at all. In fact he reminds me of me. No one handed me anything, I worked for all of it. Including college, my cars, toys, guns, watercraft, house. Its all paid for in advance. We...

I have a pair of Ruger Mk III, 22/45's. Both have a truglo 60$ red dot mounted on them. Both will put 10 rounds in a pop bottle top at 20 feet with either myself or the wife at the trigger. I'm 64 and she is 60, neither of us is doing well with...

If it was me I'd start by water dropping. #2 would be 50/50 range scrap and COWW with a little tin added. #3 would be to verify throat size with a chamber cast. So I can confirm what size I need. And then make sure I am getting it. In my...

My range scraps comes in around 12-13 BHN on my Lee Hardness tester. Works just fine in my 9MM. RS is really all I can get.

Its as kens describes it. The bullet has a longer nose bore diameter to increase bearing surface. The bore rider bullets have around 2 or more bands pluss the gas check acts as a driving band to engage the riffling. The base of the bullet still...

I actually watch TV while doing it all. I guess listening to it is more accurate. I live in an apartment so I am always in the same room as my wife. My casting station folds up and tucks away on the back porch. I dubbed the walkin coat closet my...

I have no idea about the inner workings of revolvers. I will buy one and take one apart next year. But i did have fail to fires in my pistol once, and only in that one pistol. The rounds worked great in my others. Compared the firing pin strikes to...

Air cooling has my vote as well. Water dropping from the mold causes inconsistencies in BHN. if you need harder then heat treat them. Heat treating will give you a more uniform BHN across the batch.

I noticed that Budsgunshop had my favorite .22lr for 5 cents a round. Told the wife, but decided for now we are stacked high enough.

Exactly so! My wife and I agreed that from the time she gets home from work at 4:15 until 8 is family time. No puters, no running off to the casting room. It is OUR time. The other 20 hours of the day are mine. Now I am retired, so if I feel...

Personally I think a lot of the parallax talk is hype from the scope company's. Airgunner's do tend to get into it more as for accuracy they often shoot with high magnification and short ranges. For a purpose like that I can see spending extra...

6 grains of Red Dot under any bullet in the 200-310 grain range will work. Essentially a .44 mag round in a .444marlin long case. I have simply not had the energy to pack the range bag, pack the car, drive to the range, unpack, shoot, and then...

Different strokes. Me I started out with my dad's Bushnell deer rifle scope. 3x9x40 had to go to tall rings to mount it. But once I learned it I was shooting 12 ga hulls laid on the snow so I could only see the brass base. 90% were hit in the...
