I don't, period. Like Gatch I am mostly running one blend, roughly 50% COWW and 50% range scrap with 1% pewter or tin added. If I want rifle boolits that can take more pressure I water drop them. Everything else gets air cooled. Once I am...

Friends, I took the safe route. I took my thoughts on this subject and sent them as a PM to Dverna. He replied that he wished I'd posted them. Your wish is my command sir. I disagree, but did not wish to do so in public. I think you...

Ahhh that's a very good reason. I am with you 100% on that. You make something and you learn and it's valuable. Next time some project comes around and you're already familiar what needs to be done. My scrap yard is where people and business...

When I was young I was full of doubts. "How could this be?" Water into wine, 3 small loaves and 5 fishes to feed a multitude with many baskets left over? Virgin Birth? Now I have no doubts at all. I had a grandmother who seriously studied the...

Take a look at your local scrap yard, I found a nice geared motor and picked it up just because I know these things are so expensive and I offered like 5-10 bucks and they took it as it goes to metal scrap otherwise. Now the question is - how much...

No, I went instead with 2 different buckshot molds in .22 and .20 caliber. Both my Hatsan Air rifles like the round balls. Bit of a tight fit but very accurate. Just got the .20 mold from Marty Arms, have not cast with it or tested it yet, but...

Nope, many many years of hunting squirrels. My prefered load for them was CCI hollow points. Even in Jackrabbits at long range (155 long paces) no bullet. Small entrance, large exit, instant dead rabbit.

I agree with winelover, I'd go vinyl. Won't hold moisture, should not burn enough to notice. My local Mills Fleet Farm has 10x10 rolls quite inexpensive. Shop around. Easy to clean with just a broom, much easier to pick up brass with a broom...

I'd say you made a very good deal. I've paid 400$ for just a barrel when I wanted the caliber. BC worth more IMO than straight H&R or NEF (in my opinion) Be happy, find a load that gives you decent accuracy that your shoulder won't...

How hot was that bar that broke? I have seen my lead look like an icy while it melts. I have had ingots break like that when i dumped them before the sufficiently cooled. Has to do with how different alloys and their phase shift and how long...

I shoot my Lee .314 90 gr truncated cone tumble lubed as cast, no sizing. 2 or 3 light coats of BLL. Although I have a Ruger NMSS in .32H&R mag thus far I have only shot .32sw longs through it. It works, why change anything?

A Agree, for all things handi rifle hard to beat GBO, lots of faces you'll recognise that frequent both boards. B I have an old .30-30 + 20 ga combo, I know it is an older topper 158 with a SB1 type frame. But I don't hot rod it either. C...

Yep, I was going to say the same, if your bullet shank is .288 that's abnormally large. Standard gas check shank for 30 caliber is .284 and when I apply mine they grip very well but I make mine out of aluminum, can't speak for Hornady or Ideal but...

35 Rem, my RCBS uniflow measure has no issues with charges down to 3 grains. Lower I have not tried. For my .32sw long I just made a powder dipper. Adjusted it with scale until it was consistant and called it good. Hard to beat Red Dot in...
