GhostHawk replied to a thread back surgery in Our Town
Wife had one this summer, fused 3 joints, L1-L2 one above, one below. They put two larger looking rods one to each side of the spine. Then run screws horizontally into each vertibray. My wife's problem was one of the screws developed an...

Pair of Mk III 22/45's here and I will only feed them Federal Champion Auto Match. They love it, great dependability, great accuracy. In a pinch I'd use regular Federal or perhaps CCI. Nothing else. Every time I'd tried using cheaper ammo I...

I'm with Dusty. In between charging cases and setting bullets the little LED flashlight comes out and powder levels get a good look over. A little bridging in your measure and you can come up short. And the next one might be an overcharge. Does...

Nice thing about the .45-70 is you can go anywhere from mild to wild. Lead will add up if your running it through a Machine gun, best stock up on it. Welcome to the community. You should fit in well here.

I suspect no such critter. Each hull is made to slighly different tolerances. Different materials. Some have a taper that the wad has to match or you get powder migration. Easiest answer for me was to buy primed new hulls at reasonable prices...

Milkweed does burn as long as it is not in a solid clump. Milkweed seed stems have longer fibers than say dandelion. Pretty nice fluffy stuff with virtually zero weight to it. I'd doubt you would have any troubles with it.

I suspect they are not selling that much of it. So lower the price until they do. Then slowly raise it back up over time.

GhostHawk replied to a thread 20 cent primers in Our Town
I'd rather have the primers. Comes right down to the sharp pointy end of the stick I have a big stash of Red Dot. But it takes primers to make em work. Guns I have, brass I have, COWW and range scrap I have. But if I have no primers, its all...

I'm going to step WAY out on a limb here. I was worried when my father died. Macualar degeneration, Glaucoma and age had him blind, frail and pretty much only able to yell at mom. So for the last 5-6 years of his life that is pretty much what he...

GhostHawk replied to a thread Prayers for my mother in Our Chapel
Interesting, when I read the thread and lifted a prayer for her I got an answer back I suspect from the Holy Spirit. "The Lord himself has gathered her up, she is with him now" And now as I read down the thread I see why I got the answer I got. ...

I was one of those guys who did well with Rem 870's. I was lucky, I had a first cousin who was getting out of the game at about the same time I was getting in. He had an 870 in a special trap version. 30" barrels, extra high rib and stock,...

5 years later it is still Red Dot for me. I'm happy with it. Its only real shortcomings as I see it is that it may not cycle a semi auto rifle. And it will never match the speeds of the slower powders. Accuracy yes, super trifty yes, fun to...
