I used 3/4" EMT conduit for my target frame. It packs down nicely into a tent bag. It consists of five 5' long sections, two brackets, and the steel plate. I cut my own brackets nearly identical to these out of 1/4" steel plate....

44 special is a fine caliber. I was just double checking, as it is one of the most notorious for non-expanding hollowpoints. I'm sure the gold dot's work well, they are about the best JHP (technically plated) bullet you can buy in most calibers. ...

If you choose a jacketed hollow point, do the research. 44 special is especially picky on such bullets. As for the shooting, don't stage the double action trigger. The GP100 has a great trigger that doesn't stack. Just dry fire the heck out of it...

While I couldn't find the exact wad stack I was using, I was likely using the following Remington 3 1/2" hull Remington 209 primer 45 grains Bluedot X10X + (5) 1/8" 10 gauge nitro cards Scoop of PSB buffer .780" ball 1/8" 12 gauge cork wad...

I have no idea about a lever action, but the Lee 452-252-SWC cycles through my Sig P220 as slick as can be. Never had a hang up. I'm guessing both will work fine. Flip a coin.

No. I've gone as far a .742" in a .731" groove 12 gauge. I don't recommend that as ideal though. Anywhere from .003" to .008" over bore (or groove if rifled) seems to work fine. It's the same reason you use .457" balls in a 45 caliber cap and ball...

Here is some more data for you guys. I did a quick chronograph session with different primers, as I'm still trying to decide on which one works best. The load was as follows 7 grains Bluedot Accurate 31-137K 1.605" OAL For whatever strange...

For all I know this load, or one very similar has been recommended before. This was in my H&R Tracker II 20 gauge, with a .6265" groove diameter. I tried half a dozen factory sabot slugs, none of them are even acceptable. Remington sluggers shot...

Then my mold will be perfect for you. It drops about a .780" ball with clip on wheel weight alloy. Let me know if you want it.

It serves a purpose, it is the most powerful cartridge you can buy in the blackhawk with aluminum grip frame. It's a great gun. It's pointless in a redhawk, but I prefer 41 magnum in an N frame. It's a decent step up from 357 magnum, and a small...

I only did it once to a blued steel S&W, and it 100% cured it. A pin gauge slides all the way through with no resistance. Cylinder throats were not effected, at least not significantly. I don't know about the throat, it looked fine to me. That gun...

The fire lapping hits the constriction, which is pretty much right away. After that it will be sized down, and no longer effective. Do this enough times, and it should result as you say, in a slight taper from one end to the other. Most importantly,...

I never did get around to writing my findings on 10 gauge slugs yet. I ended up finding a 22" slug barrel for my Ithaca Mag10. In the case of Ithaca/Remington, they used a .780" bore. Many 10 gauges use a .770" bore. You will have to find out what...

If that was the only 44 I owned, I would size to .432". Since all my other guns take a .431", I would use a .431". I don't know your own situation. You can fire lap your gun with a fire lap kit. It's kind of a PITA, but does work well. It will only...

Isn't this Krag considered a highly dangerous "assault weapon' - after all. I believe some Krags were used in the assault by Roosevelt's men on he assault of San Juan Hill. :-)
