Yep ! We are all like that . But in seeing and understanding missed opportunity it should heighten awareness to do better ? We are human and many times learn by trial and error .

That looks like a cheaper version of the Competitor pistol. I really liked these styles of guns. They actually felt like a handgun, not like these Remington abominations.

I can't blame you. The super redhawk might be the ugliest revolver ever made. You can't fault its performance though.

I always see people recommend jacketed bullets. I tried about 300 of them. It didn't effect the constriction at all. Lapping, either firelapping, or hand lapping is the only way. Broaching is not a method a regular guy can use.

I think both are over bloated guns, chambered for cartridges that are beyond what any possible benefit can be gained. I have a hard time believing you would ever feel troubled with a 44 magnum or 454 casull. If you felt you had to step up, 475...

This does work very well for round ball, especially with soft lead. For buckshot though, I think it's a good way to get carpal tunnel syndrome.

I'm still torn between water dropping or quenching out of an oven. I only use either oven quenching or water dropping for hardening bullets, not as a shortcut. I actually find air cooling easier. It certainly doesn't warp bullets. The problem I...
