I found WLL Carnauba Red to be a great lube for many rifle and high pressure handgun gun applications. Where it came short for me was lower pressure/velocity and cold weather. I used it on everything from 45 acp to 30-06 with no problems, but it is...

Oh boy, thanks for that link. I've been on this forum since 2017, and this is the first time I've realized there is a separate military rifle load section. I've got some days of reading ahead of me.

My dad has the 50 caliber. The twist is something like 1 in 35". They handle conical fine, even sabots. I don't know if the 58 is different, I had never heard such a thing. The only thing to look out for is if it has the slip in breech plug. Most...

I ended up buying a Springfield M1A scout squad a couple weeks ago, and have been having a blast. Now that I feel comfortable with how everything works, I've been sitting down and trying to get some accurate loads. I am not looking for spectacular...

I saw one of my pellets yesterday through my optic when shooting at a leaf at the same 100 yard target area. Today I couldn’t see a one of them. Next week I’m going to put a paper target over wher my PBR can was and see how tight I can group and try...

Thanks DG! I cut 5 threads off the screw to shorten it. I think I’m going to make schims To go between the rail and the action to eliminate any play. I can tap it with my fingers and here a “rattle” and will flex a little. I think my schim job will...

Randy! I tried your lay down rest method today. I laid my rifle down over my grille in the backyard with a thick grass floor mat on top of it. With the contour of the grille I was able to snug my gun all the way up to the trigger guard. I could...

I wonder if it doesn't pinch up on the wad. Maybe an overshot card would help. I prefer a fold crimp on flat slugs like that, they crimp nice.

Another thought is that federal primers have a reputation for being easier to set off. Whatever works. I mostly use Federal primers myself. Not for the ignition thing, I just like them.

I changed my mind on the talon. I just figured out my tasco mil dot drops today. I have my gun zeroed at 23 yards with 18.13 grain JSBs. I set 2, 2 liters out at a 100/110 yards if I had to guess. I placed them in the middle of the woods in the...

To make 309 JDJ brass. First you have to anneal the 444 marlin cases. It won't work without this. Next I ran cases into a 44 magnum die to square up the mouths. Then I ran into a 358 Winchester sizing die. Finally I ran them into a 308 Winchester...

I was pretty sure the Lyman shotgun manual has both fold crimp and roll crimp data. It wont cause any danger to roll crimp, roll crimps generally produced slightly lower pressures, but it's not a huge difference.
