Well I don't know why some can't see the picture and some can . I put that Altoid can in for a reference as to the 'amount' . As far as the weight ...I'm selling it for inlaying not what the silver is worth . There enough to do a lot of inlaying .

If this is going to be a continuous thing for your wife/daughter to want to shoot but not heavier rounds - I'll make a suggestion. First, I don't use Trailboss - have nothing against any powder that works but I was never able to get it where I buy...

Figured I would post this here as some of you have Curios, FFLs, etc. and are "up on what is kosher". It's been a while since I have sold and shipped any muzzleloaders - I'm thinking of selling several rifles and perhaps a couple of cap and ball...

I used to be able to not get it either - wonder if "aging" has anything to do with it. When I was in high school, Dad and I were cutting brush out of a fence row on the farm - was in the fall and weather was misting. We both ended up getting...

The story . Not much of a story really . About ten years ago I decided to try some inlaying on a few stocks . Managed to do a 'decent' job on two rifles and two pistols . Well...that's the story . I just never got back to doing any more . Quite a...

Jesus…said to him, "You still lack one thing. Sell all that you have…and come, follow Me." But when he heard this, he became very sorrowful, for he was very rich. LUKE 18:22-23 Have you ever heard the Master say something very difficult to you? If...

For sure, I'm just guessing brewer12345's is on the normal to loose side. My 54 caliber has a .540" bore an .551" groove, and I could just barely start a .535" ball with pillow ticking by hand. It took a lot of force. When cast of 20/1 alloy, they...

You'll find something that will work. That along with some at 4 grains, and if you have them, magnum primers, they will work. I've made lighter loads than that, just not with trail boss. Anyone who has fire lapped has shot similar loads.

I see a few guys cast shotgun zinc "zlugs", and they seem to work out well. Personally, if hunting out of state was out of the question, I would look into casting bismuth alloy bullets. Both zinc and bismuth alloys are brittle, and any kind of...

I do think a .495" ball would be worth a try. I couldn't get away with the slightly larger ball, because my patching would cut on loading. If your thick patches looked good, the thinner patch with the larger ball may be a good one. I would swab...

What kind of accuracy are you looking for? 2 things that I started doing long ago are one, use a CCI magnum caps, and two swab between shots. For fun, swabbing isn't needed, but it is needed for working up loads. You need a consistent bore, and...

I have not hunted with a 41, not because I don't like it. I do have a S&W model 57. Just not enough time to try them all. I have loaded an H&G #258 designed by Elmer Keith for years for my dad. Last time I bought them from GT bullets, although I...

I'm sure you can get acceptable 50 yard groups. I spent a large portion of my summer working with my 54 caliber TC renegade. I tried three powders, 4 patches, multiple lubes, and .530", .532", and .537" balls. Mine has a real problem with shredding...
