When I research 45 cal bullets for my new Vaquero it seemed that the original old west cowboy load was 255 grains. At the time every other review said it was more accurate than the lighter versions. I’d like to try Lee 200 grainers through it some...

Smokes red, tumbled in a $1 store #5 container with ASBB’s that I got from Smoke. It was around the teens or colder when I tumbled in the house. I could get static sparks pretty easy just taking off or putting on a shirt. I know my oven temp is off....

The fastest hand held rifle I've ever shot was a 22-284. It pushed 4300+ fps with a 45 gr jacketed bullet over my Oehler chronograph back in the mid '70s. Barrel life was very short........

Barrel length can make a difference in sub or sonic from standard velocity 22LR. Optimal barrel length for max velocity is supposed to be 18" - 20" +/-. When shooting some 22LR standard velocity out of my 20" barrel AR with M262 device I get a...

However, for use in Army SAAs the arsenals loaded the 45 Gvmt cartridge with a 230 gr bullet over 28 or 29 gr of BP so the cartridge could be used in both the Schofield and the Colt SAAs. The original 45 Scofield cartridge has to large a rim so...

My barrel slugged at .4505” and my forcing cones are .451” so my boolit sizes down just enough for zero leading and excellent accuracy as fast as I can push it. Been down that road the day I picked up my pistol and talked back and forth with Doug. I...
