Bazoo replied to a thread Regional flat rate boxes in Our Town
Well I don't know bout the regional boxes, but I know just a normal package is cheaper lots of times. From ky to oh or va for example, a mould will ship cheaper in a regular box. No insurance, but with tracking. I shipped a mould to Idaho...

Well I got around to calling Hornady. No rotor for it, they said the new rotor wouldn't fit, though didn't give me details on size other than the new one was smaller. Guess this one will go on ebay for parts. Maybe, I don't know, might keep...

I've been loading the RCBS 45-201-SWC, which is a copy of the H&G68, to 1.215 OAL. That leaves just a bit of driving band exposed, maybe .010. It feeds lovely in my Springfield milspec. That said, I'd get a copy of the Lyman 452374 and be...

Big fan of the loadbooks one caliber manuals here as well. It's a source for RCBS data if one doesn't have or can't find the RCBS handbook.

I been around glocks for only 15 years or so, never loaded for it though as I got rid of the last before I got into loading. I've heard the don't shoot lead thing many times. There is always a bunch of folks that do it without issues. Then...

I really like the Lyman 46th and 47th handbooks for the articles. Lots of info about old reloading and bullets, and the data is new enough to be relavent. The 49th is what I use as my go to, combined with the cast bullet handbook 4th. The...

I have large hands and normal or slightly short fingers. I like the factory grips on standard Blackhawks and single sixes. I don't care for the gunfighter panels that are thinner. I like the Ruger GP100 grips, though I've changed the panels out...

I typically don’t have loose rounds for either rifle or pistol rattling around loosely in my pockets . Aside from that , If they were lube with a lube Sizer no reason to have lube all over the nose of the bullet. As far as tumble lube I use Ben’s...

In my opinion 39 grns of an unknown powder from someone else’s reloads is good for fertilizer and nothing else! Not worth messing with. First off I wouldn’t even consider shooting someone else’s reloads and less I was absolutely sure of the person...

Shine a light on a piece of paper stuck in the breech and you can see lumps in the bore with severe leading. Leading that just plates the rifling but doesn't build up isn't really an issue unless it causes accuracy to fall off. Shine a light down...

Sounds like a fair trade for a brick of primers, going rate and all. I love the marlins in 357. Had a couple, lost one when my house burnt, dagnabit. Pretty nice old guns. You better take the lever out and round the part that causes...

Undoubtedly shipping them illegally. I certainly wouldn’t take a chance considering the penalty can be the same whether you’re shipping or receiving. I don’t look good in stripes!

I seat and crimp 30-30 in the same step. 31141 and lee 309-150-F seats fine using a plug I ground down flat. I had two RN plugs, and I faced one off square and polished it. It seats all flat nosed, cast and jacketed without issue. If it...

Bazoo replied to a thread Mag tube cleaning in Leverguns
Might be every 500 is a good number, maybe you can stretch it past 1000 now that it's clean. It's a trade off between cheap and easy lube vs gun maintenance. Guns that are shot exclusively with non TL bullets can go longer. Likely a metal...

Once in a while, I'll take a cleaning rod and push in the follower and wipe out a 22s inner mag tube with a dry patch.

I take the tube off of my winchester 94 for cleaning at least every year or two. It don't see much TL bullets, but sees mostly cast. I also detail strip the gun every couple years. Just the way I run.

Antimony is what makes an alloy brittle. Adding tin makes it more malleable. WW alloy is somewhat brittle, but add 2% tin and it becomes malleable. In generally you need a balance between tin and antimony. You can't add but so much antimony to...

If when you slot it, you still can't turn it, hit the head with a brass punch/hammer a couple times to break it loose. If you strip out the slot, then you can use a steel pin punch to turn it out via driving against the slot edge.

Might try a bit more crimp. I've run tight rounds like that through a couple guns with no issues, only cause I had a few from my die backing off a bit or from when I was adjusting it. Though, it wasn't in a 9mm.

I've never slugged my Springfield milspec bore, started sizing .452 and never looked back. It ain't match grade and neither am I. It'll cut a ragged hole at 15 yards and around 2" at 25. It'll also hold on a 6" plate at 50 most of the time. ...
