    I thought I read in the first post that the case left a perfect "45 LC" imprint of the roll stamp on the frame? If it left an imprint on the frame it had to have had some pressure behind it. Maybe a combination of issues added up rather than a...

    Recently got a 357 Herrett barrel myself. I haven't loaded anything for it yet. Got some brass ready and have 358429, 358156 and 358311 I'd like to try in it. Thing that's actually holding me up is finding a proper forend for a 10" round barrel.

    Not yet but I have a stockpile of potting soil from clearing out around my pond. Previous owner planted some peach, fig and apple trees. I hope to get some pecans in this year. This is in the Texas Hill country, been really dry of late. We do have a...

    I've used that bullet in a lot of things too. I have a few 30-06 rifles that really like it. I had a 30-30 Contender that did really well with it too. I need to try it on more stuff. I have an old Stevens "High Power" model 425 in 30 Remington I...

    When I find a gun thats seems very sensitive to barrel heat (within reason), it has been a stock issue every single time. One of the reasons the Finns made their two piece Mosin Nagant stocks the way they did. With the grain vertical on the front...

    I got some plain unfinished walnut grips for mine. I don't like any finish on the wood. Raw wood looks like the devil but it sure makes holding onto my .41 Bisley an easier task. I keep the fake ivory plastic grips in the box but only shoot with raw...

    I mostly use wd-40/tooth brush for cleaning, seems to cut the cosmoline well. I also let them set out in the sun and get warm before I clean on old milsurps. Then be sure lubricate with something proper.

    Might have to get one of those Lee molds myself. I just got an old (1937) Mauser sporter last weekend. I just liked the way it was done so got it. Never owned an 8x57 until now. Bore looked really good, hoping it will make a decent cast shooter.

    I have a Stevens model 44 in 22LR that is one of my favorite shooters. Had a Targetmaster but gave it to a friend of mine. Have a few Contenders too. In larger calibers I have a few Trapdoor Springfields (45 and 50/70s), Also a Stevens 52 and 44,...

    I like my really old S&W .357 Magnum. It's a "REGular" model. Shoots good. (-:}

    I like that bullet in 30-06, I seat them just deep enough to cover the top grease groove. I just tumble them. Great shooting little bullet in every 30 cal. I own. Shot them all of my 06 guns but the Garand. Should be happy in a 308 too.
