I have dumped more than a dozen with a 170 GD and LilGun at 1750 FPS. Shot a few with a 140 Speer HP from a 8” Colt with H110. Recent years the 358429 170g Keith bullet and BlueDot drop deer dead inside 75 easily. I shared your Skepticism. Until...

My favorite 357 Boolit!! I just got a 358429 HP after many years on and off looking!! (Same sane only HP). I also have had a 358429 2 cav for decades. My hunting load is with heavy charge of BlueDot. A stiff load but safe in my Gun’s. CW

Something else to remember. It’s generally recommended 20/400. Meaning 20 AFTER bullets reach 400. NOT JUST 20 min in oven. CW

Sorry to read this. Hate to read these actually. But part of life is death and none of us make it “out” alive. I dread the day. Have experienced it it’s never fun and the current is expected to be the worst. My first “lap dog” 19# Lahasa and my...

I get same in one Marlin ‘94. My newer Cowboy dosent do it. So I agree generous chamber. I have shot some healthy RUGER loads pushing 300’s to 1600 to see it. Worst is brass probably won’t last as long. But I have had that rifle for over twenty...

Well that’s a big one! My first attempt set at 400 left a pool of lead with a couple lumps. Ironically it was red HF and looked omanis. Temps on these cheap ovens can be all over the map

I like my 222/20 better than my later, bigger & heavier 223/20 Savage. That 222 is a earlier model and much lighter. Shoots great too regulation is MUCH closer than the 223/20. Not much difference as the 223 is a 1:14 so it won’t shoot heavier than...

Bottom line is 99% of distances where a red dot is used will not see an appreciable difference. Have t ya seen them mounted at a 45 angle on MSR setups? If it really bothers ya, you have a dot with a tube 1” or 30mm or a pic rail, levels are...

Two more “new” ones for me this week. Both RCBS. First is a 32-98 SWC and the second is a eBay find 45-300 FN. It’s covered in surface rust. But inside blocks is clean but one spot. Hoping evapo rust cleans them. CW

This mold is a Accurate 31-135s. It was designed expressly for the RUGER Single six to fit it’s shorter cylinder. I have t yet tried it in the 32/20 but I will soon! Froggy, 7.3 showed ever so slightly sticky extraction from the birds...

I have a MP 359-220 HP mold that’s really showing promise. I just got a 358429 HP. It’s a lil lighter than what I want as a hunting bullet. I have tried a LBT 220 and a Lyman 358315 and RCBS 200-FN. none shot very well. Not well enough for...
