pls1911 replied to a thread Unusual Ingot in Lead and Lead Alloys

Love it when something good like this happens. I stumbled on a 55 gallon drum of antique BIG typeset blocks and artwork years ago, mixed with several hundred pounds of newsprint type set castings. I'll keep the art and big print blocks and use the...

With the skinny butt plate of the #3, I would highly recommend a 300 grain RCBS with 10-15 Grains Unique per Lyman's Handbook, or 24 grains of Reloader 7. Your shoulder retina, and tooth fillings will thank you. One shot of a full house 405...

I defaulted to .30 cal, but could have easily gone for .45 or .35. The question as stated was somewhat ambivalent... Best for what? Handguns? Rifles? Buffalo or bunny rabbits? I had a friend who enjoyed popping big grasshoppers with a .45 ACP,...

Reclaimed shot,, seems like folks love it, or hate it. For me, it's among the best bargains remaining in the sport. Years back I bought 100 pounds of reclaimed shot from a local skeet range for 20 cents a pound. The mix was mostly #7.5 or #8,...

Off topic... along with critters running from burning barns per rattleCharlie's note above, the critters exiting brush piles being reduced by skidsteer brushcutters have been surprising. Had a HUGE raccoon basically defy an 1800 pound brush eater,...

WAY late to this thread. I agree various .32s would be a great choice. However, I've found cast bullets in any old 30/30 with a little unique does as well out to 40 yards.
