My Wife makes the Greatest Pot Roast. And She does it all on TOP of the stove. Chuck Roast that melts in your mouth, potatoes, carrots, mushrooms, onions. With a thick rich gravy that sticks to it all. Made in a big old Magnalite pot.

Doc, I did take breaks, I had to do a Coffee in / Coffee out. And refill/relite my pipe. And I was in My early 30's. And Yep, I drank coffee & smoked while casting in those days. I also wore gloves while casting, but I did take them off for...

Doc, That is impressive ! In my youth I would cast from 2 20lb pots, back to back. When one ran low, I'd fill it with ingots & sprue then switch to the other pot on opposite end of picnic table. Did 200lbs on one Saturday, 3 4cav molds. Spent...

Never had much success with pressure casting. I adjust my mold guide so that there is about 1/2" of clearance between sprue plate and spout. That way it will clear the sprue, barely. I preheat my molds on a hot plate, at a #4 setting, checked it...

This used to drive my Dad NUTS. Had a .44-40 with .427 chamber mouths and .425bore. A .38-40 with .400 chamber mouths and .399bore. They didn't shoot too bad, under 2 1/2" at 25yrds on a good day. Wish I still had them. And a Cut down Calvary...

As A Kid I shot many a coyote or feral dog in the LA foothills, usually a a Rifle in .22LR. Or a Colt OP 6" with .38-44 loads. I have a 3" M624, busted my last coyote with it. A 215gr WC over 7.0grs Unique. Knocked him right of his feet, dead as...

I emptied the tumbler of twice fired starline .44mag brass from My Chiropractor. Bought 1,000 new cases last year, already lost over 50, from Cowboy Shooting. I guess those old guys can't see or bend over to pick up brass. But at least all those...

I use one shot for most handgun type cases. And .30-06, .308 & 5.56 to be fired in Semi-Auto's. Got those Sinclair loading blocks just for spray lube. I use a lube pad for all other rifle cases and an occasional bunch of pistol ammo. Imperial...

This is another reason why I keep my brass/ammo in cartridge boxes. Instead of the pickle & peanut jars so many are using these days. Regardless of size, be it 20, 50, 60 or 100 capacity boxes, I know those cases are empty and a "dud" if I have one...

WOW!!! I Guess My Glock should have blown up about 25yrs ago. I bought a M23 when they came out in 1992. Only ammo I could get was F-C 180gr Lead. Shot maybe 500rds before I cleaned it. 400lead and then 100 Full Metal Jacket. My gun did not blow...
