I have some ole Mauser barrel with threads on the end. No bolt but barrel and receiver heavy! Kinda rusted. I'll see if I can find some inscriptions on it.

I know we're talking about "cleaning brass" and I'm sure OP has many more great ideas here than before, but I wanted to ask if it was feasible to actually powder coat your brass without interfering with tolerances? Probably a bad idea.

Old Hickory hatchet handle for 35+yrs. Got stolen, couldn't find another that had the same balance. Now use a plastic mallet 6-8oz that I bought 30yrs ago for my kids to hammer in their tent stakes. It's Bright Orange

Thanks, just one less step to do. I did like 600 cases the latter part of week, de-capping/resizing, swaging, trimming, deburring and chamfering, wet tumbling and then priming plays a toll on the hands! Worth it. Sent from my iPhone using...

Just have a few questions: Is it ok to pre-prime brass if stored in zip locks and climate controlled room? Also for those using hand primers, have you occasionally run across a 223 case that seemed ďout of roundĒ at base? In other words itíll fit...

Read some other info and found that yes, if you clean for a short time it will do the job BUT kinda hazardous. Make sure you rinse well with baking soda (neutralizer) before polishing.

Good ole HF tumbler. Find the less brass you clean in the bucket, the cleaner the brass gets! I have a rig set up now for mass cleaning/tumbling just trying to find the right bucket to use. Trying to get ratio down below 200 RPM.

I've a pair Lee 2cav #401-175-TC molds. I can produce about 300+ bullets an hour. While I have at least 5 Lee 6cav molds and Lee does offer that 40cal mold in 6cav, I probably won't buy one. Casting quantity is more dependent on a smooth...

Sorry I have No love for the .243Win, tried it using a Rem600. It didn't kill any better then a .250-3000 with 100gr Sierra's and wasn't as accurate as my old Savage 99-A. My ancient .257Rob'ts uses 115-120gr bullets shoots farther and kills...

Just to add more confusion. Getting the Gas Checks on straight is Extremly Important for accuracy. Lyman makes a gas check seater that fits on both their Lube-Sizer & the RCBS. And Saeco makes a built in one for their Lube-Sizer. These are...

Saeco makes the #354 Gas Check and #353 Flat Base. I have put a few thousand of the Gas Check version though 3 or 4 Marlins with MicroGroove and a Browning 92. Feed easily and shot well.
