Polished 90 pieces of new 303 British brass, full length sized said brass. It's back in the polisher to clean off the lube before being chamfered and annealed tomorrow evening.

I used the attach photo gizzie in the toolbar above, it shows up on my laptop, but not my tablet. Sounds like a an SEP---Somebody Else's Problem that I don't know how to fix:shock: For the visually impaired devices out there, it was a photo of an...

The last time I used a volumetric powder measure for a crunchy, prone to bridging powder. I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer(just ask my mother-in-law), but I'll scale loads more than most. Now.

Until you try throwing big kerneled powder. SR-4759, XMP-5744 kind of powders. Even during my test, I saw considerable differences in the charges thrown by my Redding BR-30. The RL-15 WAS dramatically more consistent than the IMR-4198. I suspect...

Loaded up almost 50 .256 Mannlicher's last night, some with 33 grains RL-15, majority with 18 grains IMR-4198. Measured each load, first on the WOAOW $16.97 scale then on the RCBS 505. Trickled up to target weight easily, the two scales matched...

In bottle carbonation can be problematic. Half a dozen years ago my daughter got the bright idea to make some ginger beer. She bottled it in champagne bottles complete with the wire ties she got from her grandfather (he used to make rhubarb...

I would love to know how the commercial loaders/converters of one caliber to another do it.(as in Buffalo Arms offerings). I can't see some poor shmuck sitting down at a Rockchucker and doing it one operation at a time. They couldn't sell it at the...

Except when you are loading a 22 Hornet with 12.6 grains of powder, that .1 grain is a big deal. I occasionally shoot my Hornet in my gun club's varmint match that goes out to 300 yards. 10 ring is less that an inch. I shoot the Hornet for the...

I typically use my Rockchucker for case conversions, but the way I do .303 to .256 Mannlicher, all four steps are moving very little brass at each step. Certainly not .308 down to .243 in one shot. I'm looking at 150 to convert in the near...

I put a short piece of plastic drinking straw in the slot in the ram, this eliminated 99.9% of the primers not making it into the RCBS primer catcher. And it's free at any fast food joint. [smilie=w:

I use a lot of 5744, my powder measure is the Redding BR-30, I ordered an extended drop tube from the old Sinclair's when I started loading the 204 Ruger, it has interchangeable orifices. When dropping 5744 I put in the largest orifice that came...

After doing a batch of .303 British to .256 Mannlicher I got to thinking (yeah, I know scary) why couldn't I mount the dies in the proper sequence in the 550 and have a finished or almost finished case with every pull? 303 in station 1, 308 in...

I'll contradict all the "must" neck turners. It's rifle specific, I've got a Remington 700 that shoots better with Hornady 308 brass single pass re-formed with a standard Redding .243 sizer. I've been doing this since the rifle was new 3000+ rounds...

It was $300, unless Craigslist has changed it's policy this was an acceptable listing, reloading equipment was ok, components were not allowed. Unfortunately, Craigslist is "self policing" which means that there are anti-gunners trolling looking for...

Didn't take it as anything other than a little needling, I've got tons of junk around here and I do need to sell some of it. Just kind of wishing I had gone and looked at it now, if I had known it had that much clearance I would have.

470 Nitro Express Overall Length: 3.98 in" 45/70 Overall Length: 2.550" 3.98-2.55=1.43, plus you have to have room on top of the case to place the boolit before seating. Nope, doesn't do anything that "junk" I already own doesn't do...

Tell me how much clearance it has for brass+boolit before seating, if it's got enough to do 450/470 N.E. I could be tempted. Those are the only two that really give me problems because of over all length. At times it is easier to stick the boolit...

I do the same, when they get ugly they go into the trash and get a fresh one or two depending on the length of the gun, Trapdoors and Rolling Blocks need two.

I use a NOE mold I bought for a 450 Nitro Express at 480 grains that casts a great pewter boolit for sweetening the pot. Any big bore mold would probably do the trick. May try my 450 grain 50-70 mold next time. I've got 40+ lbs. of Good Will finds...
