Try different pellets, mine shoots the H&N's the best. Find the best then stock up. Since they quit making the silver/blue streak pellet availability/variety has dropped. The best shooting out of mine are already obsolete and virtually impossible to...

No shoulder pain this morning. Loaded 50 .43 Spanish, first loading in two weeks. Confirmed the shoulder pain was caused by reloading. Anybody figure out how to put a pneumatic cylinder on a Rockchucker?

I've got an 1870 in 50-70, great shooter. Accurate has pressure tested data for the 50-70 for old rifles. I use the cheapie lee mold, sized and lubed to .515 using Accurate 5744.

Never used the Lee mold but I have used a bunch of 2400 with the Saeco 254 and have been pleased. My daughter's favorite round.

Still interested in using the mold I have, at 850 grains Noe's mold would make a giant sucking sound in the lead pot in an awful hurry, probably faster than I can scrounge lead to feed it! The 450 goes down fast enough.

Aluminum gizzy on top of the green indicator stand looks like a shop made fixture. The blue one looks like a shop rube Goldberg indicator stand. The round widget in the middle looks like a shop made depth mike.

Green widget on right is/was made by Federal/Esterline now Mahr-Federal. An inverted indicator stand. Better photo and you would have been able to read the label. Sold/used a BUNCH of Federal measuring tools during my working career.

Two mugs Saturday, pound and a half of "British Pewter", $2.00. Walked away from a mug that was 1.5 LBS. they wanted $8.00. and it was ugly. Even if it was going into the smelting pot. Went into a Salvation Army a couple of weeks ago, they wanted...

Nothing so far today, polished ~ 200 hornet cases yesterday then went to the range with a buddy and made reloading opportunities in .308 Win., 6.5x53R, .303 British, .275 Rigby and 45 Colt. Start reloading them tonight, the 6.5x53R needs a touch...

Had 700 layers growing up on the farm. Only reason to have live chickens is as self propelled targets. 365 day a year gathering/cleaning/washing/sorting/weighing/boxing eggs. Then clean the coops by hand with a pitch fork. In August so the manure...

I agree, I have fire formed 30-30 into 38-55 and they come out as a straight walled case but short per 38-55 specs. The short case still shoot well for freebie range brass.

I use my brace regularly, mostly for the leverage to get out stuck screws. You can really lean on it to keep bit from camming out of the slot. I have several square shank screwdriver bits. For the Phillips, torx or Frearson screws I use the right...

Redding makes a series tapered expanding plugs, look up those. They should expand without crushing neck/shoulders with proper lubing.
