I put the follower in when I start, if I don't, I'll figure out that I forgot to put it in when it spits out the last primer or 3 because of not enough weight on the stack. Dang Geezer memory.

No longer available? I'm confused, #4 shot is still marketed.

Taking the suggestion of using belted magnum cases as donor brass, I full length sized 300 win mag brass in 43 Spanish dies sans the decap stem. Next trimmed to length. Step 3 was resize with the decap/neck size plug in place. Trimmed the belt off...

Vote 2 for the RCBS bench primer. But it does need a follower on top of the primers. I use the primer follower from one of Dillon's. Just a little disconcerting with the rod whipping back and forth, especially with a full tube of primers.

I've had good luck with my Redding BR-30. 3-BR was also good. Didn't like the RCBS uniflow. The Lyman 55 was ok. The Redding measure just seem to drop more consistently than the others. Just loaded 200 rounds of 222 with IMR 4198. Charges...

Go to Goodwill/Salvation Army/your favorite resale shop and buy/recycle old muffin pans. They need your money more than Wally World does and the money goes back into your backyard, not exported halfway around the world.

There used to be a couple of hardware stores around here that would sell ammo by the piece, starting with the 22 long rifle and working up through the shotgun gauges. They were still doing it in to the 80's when they closed. Had an uncle that...

I may have a Lee mold for the 44 that I would trade for the 45-70. Already have enough molds for the 375 H&H.[smilie=s: I'll check and get back to you.

Around here it is usually Sunday afternoon when the silly boys show up. It's called blaster day. AR's on the bench at 25 and 50 yards. Proud of 2" groups, and they shoot hundreds of rounds. Only good thing, they fill up the range brass buckets...

Had the same seating sleeve dia. problem with 30-06. Went back to RCBS, problem solved. On dies, 40+ are RCBS, next is Redding, Dillon then Lee. Last is CH4D with one die set and a bunch of expanders. Dislike the Lee based on the o-ring "lock"...

15meter replied to a thread CH dies in Reloading Equipment
Just received 6 expander die from CH/4D yesterday. I got tired of screwing around using expanders from other die sets or using the Lee flare die. Used the first one yesterday to load some 416 Rigby. First time I loaded the 416 with a properly...

The three best tools in my shop are an old milk can with a wood top for a stool, a tall, adjustable chair on wheels that works at the reloading press and a OLD rocking, swivel wood office chair when I need to take a nap.

15meter replied to a thread 22 Hornet headspace in Factory Rifles
My #1 is quite easy on brass, full length size every time because it's the most accurate. My load is on the hotter end but still straight out of the Hornady for the Hornet in #1 and #3. I suspect chamber size on the minimum side has probably the...

Do a search for "maker space" or "makerspace". There are shops popping up around the country that are membership based co-op type shops. There are several around the Detroit/Ann Arbor/Jackson area. Some are businesses, some are non profit type...
