It's been a little while since I've snagged anything. I'll have a go at it, can definitely use the de-cap rods, hard to tell if that is the complete die for the 7mm from the photo if it is I can use that also for 7x57. First photo looks like the...

Shooting skeet at the local gun club, I was up first, just as I was ready to call for the first bird, a pair of eagles started looping over the field. Just lazy circles, riding the thermals about 150 feet in front of the field, about 200 feet up....

Except for the burning part, if the chemicals are that toxic in the ground, I can't imagine that they aren't worse floating around in a cloud of smoke. That said, I save my scrap powder up and put a wick in it, makes a nice display for the...

Guess it's time to buy a cheap house plant and put a bunch of scrap powder on it to see if it kills it or feeds it. Lot's of speculation, not enough of "this happened when I did this". I like the "this happened when" stories way better. ...

Sounds like chewing on chicken soup made from 2+ year old layers, when the chickens got too old to lay eggs some of them ended up in the stock pot. All day simmer and the meat had the consistency of shoe leather, the skin could have been used...

Past addictive, nephew and his wife brought a big box to Oshkosh when we met at the EAA AirVenture. Sent my sugar off the charts.

Watched a cowboy shooter blow the top half of the cylinder and the top strap off an Uberti cowboy revolver ~10 years ago. He started the stage and had a squib on the first shot. Stopped the stage and went back and cleared the problem, reloaded and...

Was just gifted a 1/3 lb. of Alcan 8, looks a lot like your 8mm powder. Can said it was, if I can remember correctly, manufactured by Bofors. Going to try it in 45 ACP, found a load for it in 45 Autorim, found other references claiming to use...

I've deleted this post twice, it refused to stay deleted, must be too close to the full moon plus Halloween. IT'S ALIVE! Finally got to the bottom of the weird/water logged batch of brass/loaded rounds/just ugliness. Should have taken a...

Closest I've come to a Chasspot, 10 days ago at our local Military Rifle Shoot. Lots of flame and smoke, very cool stuff. And he shot faster than a young feller down the line who was shooting an M1A, but he was single loading the M1A.

Sounds like the urban legend about the German waiting to hear the "ping" from a Garand before poking his head up. Never been in battle, but if someone was banging away at me with an M1, I doubt if I could concentrate enough to hear the "ping". ...

MOST of the time homemade is the best but there are exceptions. Growing up my mother made ketchup. It was awful. I can't describe how awful without getting perma-banned from this forum. Almost nightmare inducing kind of awful. ...

Monica's in Monroe, Michigan is hard to beat, one of theirs will almost put you in a diabetic coma. Better yet is the Cop Shop donut shop here in Michigan, there are several of them spread around the north half of the lower peninsula. One...

Watched a buddy shoot a couple of 6.5x54's out of a 275 Rigby--a real Rigby rifle, not a lowly 7x57 like the rest of us shoot. He's a bit of a Rigby nut..... Well, they sounded a bit on the puny side but the boolits hit the dinger, figured...

This was the last that survived an onslaught by an older sister. 8 years ago after my father died(won't admit being related to the 3 sisters, their noses are so high in the air they are in danger of drowning in a drizzle), she mixed up a batch of...

We're along way from hard water sailing around here, just hope the rhubarb transplants take. It's an old variety that is quite productive. It needed to be moved NOW. Just accepted an offer on the 30 acre parcel it was on. Trying to get my mother's...
