So back to this with a few facts. I did some experimenting for my own knowledge. In the red container when everything was said and done I had 52.25 lbs of 150 grain RN boolits. I decided to put my nose to grindstone and PC them all in one evening....

I'd vote for the 4" but you probably can't go wrong with ether one. Sorry not much help. I'm a sucker for the old Smiths and would probably buy one and put the second one on lay-a-way.

First off wecome. I think you'll enjoy your stay. Range scrap will give you around 80% of the total weight after melting and cleaning and a perfectly good alloy for the pistols you mentioned. Approxamently a 10.5 BHN. If you just get the lead WW's...

I don't know about being brave... Maybe just short on smarts. I'd think I would like a 200 meter tunnel to shoot in with stable temperature and no wind however I'll continue to make due with what we have. I feel quite lucky to have as nice a place...

Saturday was a busy day for me and for Sunday I actually made the choice to shoot rather than go to the show. Last time I went to Augusta we waited outside for almost an hour waiting for them to process folks into the building. I said joking to the...

Today a fellow caster and I decided we couldn't wait another week to get a few rounds down range. Like so many other areas of the country it has been exceptionally cold but we ventured out early to beat the wind. The temperature was -9 with a wind...

TC it looks like your hard work is paying off. Not many now-a-days would even know how to start to prepare for winter. We started out at -19 this morning and rose up to 3 degrees but not much wind. Been the dream weather for the oil companies. It's...
