    Hmmmmm ... I tried the AccuTips with an H&R USH slug gun ... but I only got 4 inch groups with that combo and gun. I haven't tried the AccuTips with the Hastings barrel yet ... I think I still have a couple of boxes . Once I have done the Timney...

    For sabots in a rifled barrel .... my best result so far is from a Hastings rifled barrel with Federal Power-Shok sabots ... That combo gives me 2 1/4 to 2 1/2 inch groups at 100 meters/yards.

    Well, I tried several different slugs out of my 870P with smooth-bore and at 50 meters/yards. Best accuracy I got was with Federal TruBall slugs: But the Rio Brenneke was not bad:

    I have a Hastings barrel on my 870 Police ... 12ga ... and got good results with the Federal Power-Shok 1oz sabot ... around a 2 1/4 inch group at 100 yards/meters ... and those are relatively cheap ....

    Yes, that happened to me with one round .... It did not go bang ... :-( So, I am trying to figure something out to seal the primer on my future "Last shot of the day" loads. Maybe a couple of drops of wax ... or a primer sealer ...? I will do more...
