Beautiful rifle, 26 inch barrel length ? Do you think 38-55 brass would give thicker necks ? Jim

Bart, welcome to the forum, after watching you shoot that little carbine and reading in this old thread, I'm going to have to get busy this winter and finally make one of these. Mine will be made with a .308 groove dia, using a 2-groove barrel from...

I've used Wolfer's method for reloading with great results, and even loaded 158gr .358 bullets as a slug load. If you insert a bullet in a plastic shot cup, and if you can push it through your choked bore without to much resistance, it should be...

Kevin, I believe the gentleman that made the checks at bulletgaschecks.com retired and sold his machines to a member here, Sages Outdoors. Great place to do business with.

I just looked at my old Ideal #3 tool in .22 Hornet, and its muzzle sizing chamber will size regular and K-Hornet, so your die set must be a newer version. Next I tried a .222 die, and it worked, but I don't think it provides enough neck tension to...

If you have a .308 die you can run the case in it , to set the shoulder back first, then use the 7x57 die. And try annealing between forming operations, if you still have problems. If you have a 8x57 die, try it to set back the shoulder, might work...

Fishman, the heasdstamp is 303 BRIT , no clue as to who made them, but the site also has some 30 cal soft point bullets that were probably pulled from those cases, and they kind of look like S&B bullets to me.

Check out Hi-Tech Ammunition, they show 7.62x54 primed steel cases at $55 / 1000, and 7.62x39 at $35 / 500. Also .303 Boxer primed brass cases for $20 / 100 . I'm using some of the 303 in a Krag and they seem alright. Jim

I remember seeing an interesting article, perhaps in The Backwoodsman magazine, where a man used a walking stick to steady his handgun, had a different way of holding for all shooting positions, looked like a very practical way to steady a pistol for...

A Trust of some form set up for your son might be more acceptable for your fianc'e, and could be done before you get hitched.

Are they police confiscated guns, or from those stupid gun buy-backs? Or maybe fire or water damaged, from an insurance company?

Gewehr-Guy replied to a thread Apricot Jam in Cookin' Recipe's
I just filled hot jars with the boiling jam, and screwed on the lids. All the lids popped and sealed, but I will not use them if they don't hold a good seal. Next batch I'll do it the more proper way and use the water bath method, but I remember...
