KyGunCo's in-stock notification system must be wonky. I've received two notifications in the past week, clicking on the second one almost instantly, and they still showed out of stock.

It would almost seem a travesty to own an AR-15 and not have one chambered in 300BO. It's the perfect caster's caliber.

By the way, if they HAD been in stock I'd be ordering one right now. Electric88's link to the Truth About Guns article seems to confirm what others have figured out, which is that the gun was definitely designed with easy caliber conversions coming...

Yep. The demand is high right now. People are figuring out how fun and economical they are to shoot. And there are a lot of PCC specific matches going on these days.

KyGunCo has them for around $520.00, shipped. Currently out of stock though. I'm going to hold off until it's revealed if they will indeed be available in other calibers, and if easy caliber conversions are part of the plan.

I think part of the reason for the take down feature is easy caliber conversions (to be available in the future).

I've been watching a lot of youtube review videos. People have been using everything from 100 grain to 147 grain with no issues.

Watched a video yesterday and it looks like part of the reason for the takedown is the Ruger is designed to be modular for easy caliber changes. Change the fore end, bolt, and weight (and possibly the mag well) and you have another caliber.
