I had bear steak and roast at a wild game banquet I went to earlier this year. First time for bear, and it was good. The roast was not as good. Dunno if it was just the way it was cooked or the way it had been stored. The steak was amazing...

bdicki, I didnt know that. I will have to check out some new glock mags when I get the chance. I've had gen 2 and 3 glocks several times, but never newer ones. Some of the mags I had for the 17 I had were 1 gen mags that swelled to keep them...

Try harder. They dont just slip apart. Put the body against a table with the base sticking off. Put a punch in the hole, big as will fit, and then you can really put some pressure against it. Clean with remoil and wipe clean and reassemble.

I think 25 is a good price for a bucket. If you get in the range of 40-50 pounds of usable lead, thats in the range of .50 a pound, and its fun! Fun to make something nice and shiny from something old and dirty.

Cool. Sounds peaceful. I live without internet. I either use it at friends, mcdonalds or the like. Much more peaceful, and I get caught up on my reading. Oddly.... I get on the net, and buy books off ebay, so I can read more.

I'd be glad to help others in my area, although Im still learning myself. Not many folks round my parts have an interest in casting I think. At least by judging what I hear from the folks in the gun store.

Whatever you use for ingots, make sure they will fit in your melting pot. Those loaf tins will be large, and you might not fit with a full sized one. You could though, only make them 1/2 thick or so, and get them to fit depending on the size of...

I didnt see if anyone mentioned it, but if you're measuring the holes with a caliper, you will get a false reading. If this is the case, you're hole diameter most likely is correct and you only have a pin depth adjustment needed.
