Thanks for that, Dragonheart. Now I have to add "Clean coffee spray off of monitor" to my list of things to do today.

The Dillon 550 can be automated to use the Lee Bullet Feeder right now. I just ordered this plate from eBay last week... should be getting it today. Bit anxious to see how well it works, really.

"not bad for a first try." Are you kidding me?? Those look fantastic! Very well done, man, congrats! I'd been PC'ing for a long time before I ever got results that looked as nice.

Interesting you should mention that thread. :) I read it when it was running its course, and it got me interested in it back then, I just didn't have the time or resources to do it. But things have changed for the better, so I'm hoping to start...

Slide, it kinda seems like you’re either annoyed, pissed off, or both in this thread. I didn’t mean to make anyone mad by asking how to diagnose over cured PC and what the effects of it are/were. My apologies for hitting a nerve. I’m not having...

Thanks for all the help, gents. I’ll probably go with the Eastwood dual voltage gun.

It was either Titan's or Lee's site that said January 24th was the expected ship date. I'll have to look and see if that has been changed now... Edit: Just checked both sites, and neither of them have the January 24th release date on them now....

I'm not talking about methods to make sure that you are cooking at the right temps and for the right duration... yeah, that's been discussed a lot, and I use a four channel thermocouple reader, a thermocouple cast inside a boolit, an oven...

There have been a lot of posts/threads lately about the negative effects of under curing PC. Let's talk a bit about the other side of the issue, over curing. How is it recognized? What are the bad effects of it? Is it easily done, or do you...

Up 'til now, I've only cast boolits for handguns. I'm hoping that is going to change soon. :) I'm planning on spraying my rifle boolits, and would like some recommendations on a decent (without breaking the bank) PC static gun. There's so many to...

Getting close! Should start hearing of guys getting their presses within the next ten days or so. I'm building up a nice little stockpile of unsized boolits to break in the press. :)

You might try to order via the website again. I placed an order through the website on Saturday, and it went through just fine. The only error I got was on the very last page after the order was placed. I think it was the "Order Confirmation" page....

But it doesn't with DHL. Just got our 3D printer yesterday. Shipped via DHL, delivered by USPS. Could not track it through USPS with DHL number. Same happened on both of my MP molds. So that's three total pieces shipped through DHL, and none of...

More great stuff, thank you! Now that I've more or less shot out the factory barrel of my S&W C.O.R.E 9L, I have an excuse to replace it with a stainless steel barrel... easier cleaning! ;)

Great posts, Cap'n, I couldn't agree more. I decided that I'd retire my still flawlessly working SAECO pot, and bought a new Lee 4-20 just about five years ago. I have never seen the bottom of that pot since my first melt; I just keep...

I was just going to post the same thing... the old SAECO pot I inherited from my Dad looks just like the Lee pot in the OP. And it still works perfectly. Rather than worrying about repairing the temperature control, hook that pot up to a PID! :)...

I've bought two molds from MP in the last two months. Both were shipped by DHL, and both were delivered by the United States Post Office. I believe that DHL, like many other couriers, are now contracting with the USPS to be the "last mile" carrier....

You are definitely a finer marksman than I am. Very well done. FWIW, I've generally found my cast .357 loads to be more accurate when they are approaching max power than lighter "target" loads. Just IME anyway.

And in keeping with this spirit, I'll add... I'm using some cast iron muffin pans that I got from Sportsman's Warehouse. The ingots don't have much taper to them, so they stack nicely. They also are a perfect diameter to fit the Lee 20 pound pot...

The 1050 and 550 do use the same powder measure, but the powder-through funnels are different. The 550 uses a powder-through-expander funnel, and the 1050 uses a powder-through funnel that also serves to bell the case. The difference is very subtle;...
