Olympic and a couple others make a 22-250 AR15. I have one of those bolts/extensions in my 44x1.8" AR15 which with a 16" barrel matches what my 444 Marlin does with a 22" barrel at least for 225gr-265gr bullets.

The list is well over 100 and likely over 200 if you include wildcats.

    At the moment that I can remember I've got uppers in 22lr, 223/5.56, 6x45, 7.62x39, 9mm (blowback and DI), 357AR, 375 FUW (soon to add 375 FU2W and a belted 375 wildcat) , 44x1.6", 44x1.8", 450BM...need to finish up a 17HMR upper. Pretty much...

Don't use duracoat but do use GunKote with an airbrush. Works great. Had a USA made Badger 250 airbrush that somehow I managed to set a IH345 head on, so it was replaced with a cheapie HF version. Don't know if the current Badgers are still USA...

Jedman, Never submitted the insurance claim on the first two blanks, so I've got three more to turn into something. The barrel as in post #18 was just over 22" if measured with a cleaning rod. Made the sizer die from the last few inches of the...

Had a chance to shoot it today at 75yds mainly as a function test. 26rnds went into a 1.030" ragged hole. So if my math is correct 1.030-.375=.655". .655 divided by .75 (yds) =.8733" or basically 7/8 moa for a 26 shot group. Wasn't expecting...

I have the Lyman and a Forster. I've used the Lyman for 20 years or so and the oilite bushing for the cutter shaft needs to be replaced. $4.75 from Fastenal, so not a huge investment to remove the wobble that took thousands of cases with a heavy...

garandrus, It's pretty similar to 375 win, but: the 375 win case is too long to be used in the limited zone; rimless so it easily works in an AR15; and run at another 5Kpsi. Usually have a post deer hunting gun project and this just happened to be...

I inherited some 6.8SPC brass last fall but have no interest in a 6.8spc. 40-6.8 has been done but didn't see any 375-6.8, so why not. Made some dummy rounds to test them. Annealed, expanded, 375Win sizer die didn't work so one was made. For...

Check your disconnector spring to make sure the big end is on the bottom, and that the hook is sharp and has good contact with the hammer. First pic is FCG with the trigger forward, and 2nd is with the trigger back as if pulled with the disconnector...

Better join your support group. I've got three more uppers coming and have close to a dozen barrel blanks waiting for some lathe time. Don't know how many I have, that way it's ok to be a bit vague when asked.

The dimple is normal with a floating firing pin. It will be worse if you put a cartridge in the chamber and let the bolt slam shut. I'd check the ammo over really well to make sure there were no high primers, clean out the firing pin recess and...

Usually go with 6 and figure I'm not so precise that they don't vary a little from flute to flute when done. I use O1, and harden after fluting while spinning the reamer slowly in a drill press with a 18" extension on it to keep heat away from the...

Last friday the post office dropped off a box at 9am. Oddly early as they usually don't show up until noon at the earliest. Had no idea what it could be but the label said "Sarco"! It was the lost barrels I'd ordered back in March showing up...

I had some carcano brass that came with a mauser I bought 10 years ago. Someone did a decent job of putting a fajen stock, and peep sites on a 1891 Argentine Mauser, then modified a rusty pitted 6.5 Carcano barrel to fit. And yes the barrel was...

Excellent! When I was making my first 450BM barrel I searched online and found guesses from .063" all the way up over .096" for a carbine gas system. So, I started small and made the gas port larger until it would eventually lock back on a mag...

450BM carbine gas system I go with a #47 bit (.0785") after predrilling with a slightly smaller one, standard spring and buffer. Usually they come over gassed.

OP is in Iowa with no registration. I like Michigan, but wish it didn't have pistol registration.
