Great links! I've got a Form 1 .22 and a .38 to do and wanted to have them use the ASR mount so they could share the same muzzle devices as the ones I'm using my hybrid on.

Ended up getting a couple CMMG lowers when they were on sale a while ago and passed the magwell colt style magazine block onto my father inlaw. The dedicated lowers feed much better. I made my own barrels with a 33 degree feed ramp and have no...

Make my own 9mm buffers out of 304 SS and they usually come out at around 7.8 ounces. Shooting them suppressed and you'll get a lot more gas coming out the ejection port and charging handle area with a 5.5 ounce buffer.

Started cleaning it, then got distracted by a partially used bag of 9mm boolits. So to "clean up the work bench" I ran them through the progressive press and filled up a medium coffee can with plinking ammo. The reloading room still needs...

I've had two instances out of the same batch of some PMC M193 that popped the primer and sent the bullet just into the rifling. Dumped powder everywhere which was a big red flag that there was "some issue". The same thing happen with my buddy only...

With the case flowing into the ejector recess I'm going with a gross overpressure. Most likely caused by a squib round that you ejected as skeetex said. YouTube is full of similar videos.

Was doing a little cleaning in the garage and found a pistol barrel I'd set aside 2 years ago or so. It was with the last batch of extensions I modified including the one on my sons gun. It is a Teflon coated M4 extension and I forgot who the...

Did your feed ramp extend down into the upper a little bit similar to how an M4 does? Are there any marks on the cases from the chamber? dug through my dummy rounds and found one that jammed because the feed ramp was too sharp. Can't get a good...

It's basically a rimless 357Max from 223 cases and run at 223 pressures. The bullets in the pic are Hornady 180gr SSP. 24gr W296 (safe in my guns don't know about yours) at 2.235" COL with a water capacity of 34.8gr quickload guestimate is 2119 fps...

Here's a couple pics of the two types of feed ramps I've tried. The first was just opening up an M4 extension (black upper) with a 3/8" ball end mill (this first one I used a dremmel). The second type (tan upper) the same M4 extension was just put...

Looking at how the case is hanging up take a look at the transition from the bevel to the chamber wall. I've gone to using a 3/32 radius bit to cut the bevel and always polish the bevel and transition. Yours looks too sharp. Also see if the base...

I've used carbide endmills to remove broken taps. Go slow, use a collet to hold the endmill, remove any chips often and use a pic to check for any loose bits that could break loose and break the endmill. Smallest I've gone is using an 1/8" carbide...

We had a lady letter carrier years ago that would only deliver every other day if it was raining. Our current guy is great, but the guy who fills in for him fills out the "no one home" slips for packages with delivery confirmation. Several times...
