Moleman- replied to a thread building an AR9 in Special Projects
I've got one SS AR-Stoner barrel which are made by Bear Creek when Midway had them on sale for $60 a few years back. As it came the feed ramp was pretty small and it didn't feed well. Opened up the feed ramp to copy a Sten MKII that I put on the...

My 30 year old midway (frankford) inertia puller broke into about 5 pieces this past fall. The plastic on the handle broke off likely 15 years ago and was replaced by a piece of wood with a hole drilled in it, then split to fit over the handle...

Moleman- replied to a thread Lil Gun in Canister & Surplus Powder
I've found it pretty close to W296 chrony wise on a max load when used in rifles. Only started using it after Sandy Hook when powders started to become scarce and liked it enough to continue to use it. The deer my son and I got this past year were...

If you're using a 1891 mauser without the wings on the bolt sleeve there's nothing preventing gas from going down the left bolt race and dumping right in your face. If so try finding a winged type sleeve.

Moleman- replied to a thread Trouble with 444 marlin in Leverguns
Google it for a pic, but the magazine tube should have a bulge on the left side for clearance for long cartridges to make the turn. You have to take the forearm off to see it.

Does your 444 have a correctly installed bulged style magazine tube? Some of the WFN bullets have feeding issues in the Marlin because of the profile.

If you're wanting to do barrel work the import 9x19/9x20 lathes are not a good choice but are often found in that price range. I have one and have made 16" barrels on it, but with the small .780" spindle bore and short distance between centers and...

Yes, along with a new cylinder stop, hand, crane and cylinder bearings. When that's all done the barrel will get set back. It would be done by now but the 67 year old lathe I want to use had an original bearing lock up in the gearbox so I've been...

Bloodman14, machine tools can be very expensive to buy repair parts for. Learn to fix the broken ones you can or make new ones yourself. These were all repairs to used machines that were broken when I bought them. Bull and back gears simple braze...

This was also posted over at MarlinOwners last week. IIRC the receiver was made in 1981, so it's likely someones steampunk attempt at something.

I have a 410 mossberg. Guy I got it from said it jammed a lot and his gunsmith could never get it to run right. Got it cheap enough to let the kids use it and if it was only a single shot would make no difference hunting squirrels and rabbits. ...

1802 predates the first patent for percussion caps. From the look of the small "0" next to the other number it looks as if the lock was actually stamped 1862 with a damaged #6 or unevenly so the top of the "6" doesn't show. Don't think this would...

FWIW, we had the same symptom happen in our crown vic. Mechanic replaced the trans filter and the problem went away.

Prvi Partizan, the nnY looking letter are cyrillic letters for "PPU". 9mm is one of the rounds where if the case gives me issues I'll toss it and move on.
