After you have a few fired cases would you get an average water capacity for 4-5 cases with the water struck off level with the case mouth? We could figure out if the 357max-TC or 357AR data would work or not with a decent safety margin when using...

The newer mole poisons are a neurotoxin and not as easy to reverse the effects of as the older blood thinner types. We use grub killer, Milky spore granuals (kills grubs when dormant but pretty expensive), traps, the occasional pitch fork if I see...

I have had both 3 and 4 hole lee turret presses , early loadmaster, ABLP, Lyman all american turret, lyman Tmag, Older hornady progressive Projector press and have used a RCBS 4x4 for a while. I tried the Lee ABLP over the fall and did not like the...

Get some cerrosafe or similar and make a chamber/throat casting then knock out the casting. The broken case will come with it and it will not damage your chamber. Rotometals has a great deal on their "Chamber Alloy (158-190)" a pound for $10...

The main issue with the Lee collet crimp die is that it's set up to do one length only. You can make spacers to adjust it a bit, but if I'm ever bored enough I'll thread the bottom of the collet or make a new one so that it has an adjustable length...

It will work, but not as bought. The length of the collet needs trimmed to bring the crimp section down to where you want it and the crimp width thinned a bit if you want it to look more like a cannelure. Here's a pretty good writeup on how to...

I use a brass 1/4" nut driver that has a hollow stem for longer bolts. Makes it super easy to install the hammer spring. With the stock off put the nut driver over the hammer strut numb where it pokes through the angled retainer and push down until...

They'll work for two test barrels for a couple wildcats which is what I got them for. If the wildcats works out except for accuracy a new better blank can be obtained, but I'm hopeful that they'll be decently minute of deer accurate.

Monday I ordered another 2 blank and specified that UPS deliver them. BBT brought them earlier today. The USPS set are still on their fantastic journey according to the tracking which hasn't been updated in over a month. They're basically raw...

The two scrapes close together are mainly from the front side of the corners on the locking lugs you have circled on the right in the picture. You only need to remove the tiniest bit to make it no longer sharp to the point it cuts brass. I try to...

I do a similar thing making several straight walled wildcats from bottleneck cases. Initial trim, anneal, lube the case mouths real good and run them through a old Hornady Projector press with several expanders to bring the case bodies up to...

The base castings are the same, only difference is the coating and the hopper style. They both can be case/spring activated or case/pull chain activated. I like the new style round hopper better because it has a shut off and is more durable. I...

Haven't tried it in the desert, but it does well to -15F to -20F deer hunting in MI.

Sadly no, the postal turtle that left PA on the 2nd hasn't made it to the next facility yet. On 04/02/19 the tracking said it had left the Philadelphia PA facility and was in route to the next facility with a 04/04/19 delivery date. On the 5th it...

They are softer. Put base to base with a good hard cast bullet you can turn one of the swaged bullets into a donut. Got home and looked at my loading book from the 90s' when I used most of these. 357 loads were 1000-1100 fps with no leading out of...

I've used them in 357 and 44 mag at velocities much faster than that with no leading. Perhaps he has other issues causing leading.
